>>40500270 (OP)>How to open your mindI'll try tell ya what I think the secret is anon, and forgive me for not being articulate
There is no word that I know of in any language (albeit I only know English) that describes this. It is this very strong discomfort with not knowing stuff. In a way this feeling for lack of a better word is the driving force of our curiosity, in that we're driven to know the unknown. However this feeling can be so strong (even tho it's very subtle) that in spite of our curiosity, and trying to find answers, if people can't find the answer then this feeling may overwhelm people's logic and they'll just make up answers, that we know are wrong, but we somehow convince our self, simply to satisfy and satiate this "feeling" that I've left unnamed. Or maybe we'll give up part way, and if something is close enough we'll accept it as truth, just to make this feeling of "not knowing" go away
The secret to having an open mind, is learning to be at peace with this feeling the. Instead of seeking answers to the unknown as quickly as humanly possible to make this 'feeling' go away as fast as possible, the real trick to having an open mind is just living with this feeling. If you can do that, then instead of seeking one single answer to something, you can explore ALL POSSIBLE ANSWERS to something. Instead of exploring a single facet of an unknown, you can explore all parts of it
Accept/embrace your own ignorance. Accept that are known knowns (the things you know you know) known unknowns (the things you know you don't know), and unknown unknowns. (the stuff you don't even know is even a thing)
Also, if you really want to go full schizo mode (I don't recommend it) is go full on fuzzy logic. Accept that you are not capable of ever knowing if something is truly 100% true or false and therefore everything in your mind is in a state of flux somewhere between true/false. I think it's fine for stuff to lean or be closer to true/false but nothing can ever be 100%
