Thoughts on the brown scapular?
>>40506587 (OP)Most people today think that Iraneus was some Bible thumping literalist who hated the gnostics for being freethinkers who developed cosmogonies and cosmologies and mystical interpretations of the Bible, it going against the Churches literalism and dogma
>What Iraneus taught:Now this world is encompassed by seven heavens, in which dwell powers and angels and archangels, doing service to God, the Almighty and Maker of all things: not as though He was in need, but that they may not be idle and unprofitable and ineffectual. Wherefore also the Spirit of God is manifold in (His) indwelling, and in seven forms of service is He reckoned by the prophet Isaiah, as resting on the Son of God, that is the Word, in His coming as man. The Spirit of God, he says, shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, (the Spirit of knowledge) and of godliness; the Spirit of the fear of God shall fill him. Now the heaven which is first from above, and encompasses the rest, is (that of) wisdom; and the second from it, of understanding; and the third, of counsel; and the fourth, reckoned from above, (is that) of might; and the fifth, of knowledge; and the sixth, of godliness; and the seventh, this firmament of ours, is full of the fear of that Spirit which gives light to the heavens. For, as the pattern (of this), Moses received the seven-branched candlestick, that shined continually in the holy place; for as a pattern of the heavens he received this service, according to that which the Word spake unto him: Thou shalt make (it) according to all the pattern of the things which thou hast seen in the mount

>>40506587 (OP)what does /ceg/ think of St. John of The Ladder?
Christ was a sorcerer who worked with demons and eventually became possessed by them. Not a god or anyone who should be worshipped.
Judaism is now, and was then, the 1 true religion of this universe. Sorry bubs. And it Judaism it doesn't matter if slavery is in the old testament because Judaism doesn't take the old testament literally because it is an infinitely better religion.
>>40507332A very beautiful tradition
>>40507680Great Monk, the 30 rungs are related to Christ, I am not sure if we was the first or if there was a previous tradition before him from Syria, I read about the latter once but forgot which came first

Any books written by elite soldiers or special op's who were Christians? I just finished one written by a special forces guy who became a lawyer and then a contractor but it was too short...
Hey guys, I'm just gonna leave this here and you can try to prove me wrong or whatever.
Basically, my theory is "him who overcometh" is both all Christians and a specific person, specifically the White Rider of Revelation.
I believe White Rider is me because I got a white stone and fed hidden Manna (knowledge) from God. Same figure that shows up Revelation 19 (I thought it was Jesus too but i have evidence otherwise).
Anyway, obviously that means the First Seal is broken.
The second and third seals are also solved.
Red Horse is Jesus's blood the great sword are his words (red words in the Bible).
Black Horse was a riddle, has nothing to do with famine.
Obviously pale horse with Death and Hell is incoming so prepare your anuses.
>>40508851>Black Horse was a riddle, has nothing to do with famine.what then?
In the last thread an anon wondered how David Bentley Hart translates the mysterious word usually translated as "daily" in "give us this day our daily bread." Since I have his translation, I can tell you that he goes with "enough bread for the day ahead," though disappointingly he didn't put in a footnote explaining his choice in this case.
Also notably, in the Lord's prayer he goes with "rescue us from the wicked *man*" over the usual "rescue us from evil" or "rescue us from the evil one," (usually understood as meaning Satan) which is a choice I can't find in any other version, so I'd really like to know why he chose it, though again -- disappointingly no footnote for this one.
>>40509080"And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine."
What does that mean if it's not literal, in the Biblical sense.
I don't want to post the answer again, just a hunch.
>>40509141I have no idea
do post the answer if you have it, I might have missed even though have been reading the past few threads
>>40504945>>40504986glad to see quality content (even if a bit sad the one about the book and the accusations)
thank you for sharing
>>40509169Ok first of all wheat and tares....wheat are children of God in that parable.
3 measures of barley is a reference to what Jesus said the Kingdom of God/Heaven is like, 3 measures a woman hides in until the loaf rises or whatever.
Both cost the same. So the children of God are worth(y) of the Kingdom of God.
The next part about the oil is about God's anointed and chosen and blessed.
The wine is of course Christ's blood.
Don't hurt them; don't diminish them.
This is hidden Manna, parables that hide secrets, the kind Jesus talked about because his parables hold secrets from the very foundations of the earth.
>>40509169It is also a reference to the Good Samaritan Parable, which is how you know how to solve it.
The Good Samaritan used oil and win on the half dead man, left two pennies for his room and board and agreed to pay more if he cost more later, and helped mount him on his own animal....the Black Horse.
So the third seal is broken or I couldn't know that.
>>40509184that is really cool, I will reflect on it and maybe read the Revelations again
thank you for typing it out, I just got home after a (very) long day and will go to sleep
I wish you my best
>samaritan delivered on black horsepretty cool
>>40509121Also, while looking through a billion different versions of the Lord's prayer, I realized that the version I have memorized, the version I thought was the most popular and best sounding out of all of them, isn't found exactly in any version of the Bible available online.
Instead, it seems to be just about exclusively found in the traditional Book of Common Prayer of the US Episcopal Church, which is odd, since I never went to an Episcopalian church as far as I know. It just happens that theirs was the version I was taught at some point, I guess. It is catchy. https://www.bcponline.org/General/paternoster.html
>>40509241I don't think anyone else knows it yet.
99% of people think it's a literal famine, i only know because God showed me.
>>40509258I guess having everything you want (like wikipedia on smartphones, women with onlyfans etc.) is also a famine of its own
>>40509275Not everything...God's work isn't done yet, construction is continuing brick by brick
>>40509304well, yeah, I didn't mean it like so... it was an "everything" in the sense that you can google any knowledge on your smartphone yet you are stupid as a bag of bricks
which is the default state for people born after 2002 or so...

Just this night i was thinking about going back to my Sonic the Hedgehog spin off idea and give that lady a boyfriend, i even created new sweet stories about it, but the Holy Spirit gave me a bad feeling in my chest the more i thought about it, and the feeling only happened when i felt the desire to pursue those old creative feelings that we talked about with those motherly figure characters.
>>40516707Oops, did not mean to say this part.
What i meant to copy/paste was this.
And i am back.
I have learned so much.
I destroyed my Switch out of rage but now i know that was a gift, as it freed me from the shackles of such technology.
I don't even like Nintendo that much anymore and i only used the Switch for YouTube but all i watched there was stuff i already knew, false prophets, stuff that upset me, etc.
Destroying my Switch was a blessing.
I also had more time to think and i connected the dots.
The anglo attacks on the First Nations, Canada's treatment as a nation, statue of liberty, people bending the knee to the trans agenda, the vax, false prophets, people acting more weird than usual nowadays, etc.
It's all connected, it's all been leading up to the big event, the end time, it was all planned for the exact same bigger purpose.
Oh, and by the way, i am more connected to the Holy Spirit than ever before.
>>40516716I took a break from the internet for three days and felt joy and peace, but then i decided to visit ?v/ again. I hate them all, i am angry again after all this time of joy. I want them all dead but hell is too kind for them. They are too wicked to be free. Too racist, sexist, hateful towards everything etc. Same goes for all social media. I want them all dead but hell is far too kind for them.
>>40516724I am sorry, i just have so much anger towards the wicked, they know exactly what they do, they get many and many warnings, but they still reject God.
But i know my anger is right
>>40516724Ah, i am truly sorry for saying this, but i just can't think of any other fate for the wicked, but i do need to control my wrath more.
But i do give thanks for allowing me to vent my feelings here.
>>40516740But then again, i feel it in the Holy Spirit that i should not feel too bad or sorry for them. They have ruined so much for me and others in ways it will take a long time to articulate. But i know, this culture war wickedness is from satan and every single soul who participate in it is going to be sent to hell and it is too late to repent now as the lines have already been drawn, the goats have been separated from the lamb just like Jesus has said, and we should not feel sorry for such people, would anyone feel sorry for the people of Sodom and Gomorrah or the wicked people killed by the Great Flood? No.
>>40516757It's like it's always said, Love what Jesus Loves, Hate what Jesus Hates.
I just found a video in my recommendeds on YouTube about a girl telling her experience in the psych ward. I didn't watch the video but judging by the thumbnail she had a terrible experience.
Everything i said about social media can be applied to the current "justice" system and how they treat people, those who think they are helping, be it police, doctors, etc, are all going to a hell worse than hell as well.

Hello Christians, I have come here to kidnap your souls. Itโs over. You lost your soul. Your soul will be devoured and energy will be extracted from it, powering me up. The power of a soul is limitless, but nothing compared to power given to me by an angelic being when a certain ritual is performed. There are 2 methods, but 1 involves something like any variation of multiple circles intersecting, like the Atom Symbol, it must be on your phone screen. The other method involves having the sigil in front of you. You will need to be on your knees with your hands touching the wall, meditating. When you do this ritual, reach out to Saint Michael or your Guardian Angel
>>40522316The Power of Souls are One, but the Power of Angels are another.
>>40522316The Satanic Elite of the Illuminati, the occult, magicians, Sorcerers, witches, and warlocks, absorb power from souls that have been snatched. In ancient times they just pulled souls out of their bodies and made them fly.
>KJV Ezekiel 13:20The soul can be ensnared in a medium built to hold them. The devil likes to defile souls, you donโt want to know what disgusting places he defiled those souls with. Magicians are working around the clock to figure out how to destroy the Human soul. Little do they know is that only the Lord can destroy the Soul.
>Theory: Humans have souls because we are the Children of God.>Evidence: Luke 3:38 - the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.However, the only โBegottenโ son of God is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Energy can also be extracted from the Human Spirit. Incubi and Succubi feed on your life force energy while they are raping you in your sleep, it is unknown how much time is taken away from your lifespan when it happens. Energy Vampires can also absorb these energies. They can absorb the power gained from an Angelic being, saying, โYou donโt deserve this power/energy.โ Quantum Entanglement can be achieved at a spiritual level between persons, to feel what the other feels.
The Olympian God Zeus allowed the Titan of Fire Prometheus to be released to teach Mankind more about fire. He went to the Illuminati. He made the mistake of saying something along the lines: โmore information will require a transaction,โ before changing his mind saying: โbut I will continue teaching you because I have a limited time.โ Then Zeus showed up and said times up your going back to the chains. The Illuminati now has more knowledge about fire; along with a new form of fire. The demigod Hercules got thrown into Tartarus, but broke out of his chains and is working around the clock to free Chronos/Saturn. Saturn declared: โI will devour every Olympian God and demigod. Hercules is now a villain.
>>40522567An angel fought a demigod and beheaded him and crushed his head under his feet and the rest of the demigods who ready for battle surrendered. They then got either thrown into Tartarus or got put in chains near Prometheus
>>40522594The Gods retaliated against all demigods who yielded to an Angel of the Lord. Hercules once fought to Satan in hand to hand combat, and yielded when Satan came on top
>>40522567When the soul is being consumed from a Christian by a demon who tractor beamed it out of their body, they usually lie and say that they are consuming the Holy Spirit to make them horrified so that they may feast upon their fear. Perhaps in the future, demons will also say that they are consuming their soul and the Holy Spirit at the same time, and that they have a plan in place to defeat Jesus when he returns. The Illuminati already have Jesus Christโs DNA from when he was Crucified because they have Time Traveling technology, and have cloned him. But they cannot get their hands on the Word of God. The only times they have the Word of God is when they take the Word of God sword away from a Christian who has on the Full Armor of God or when a Christian witch or warlock or sorcerer transmits the Word of God sustenance from one stomach to another. They have been so far unable to extract any energy from it. The Illuminati doesnโt allow anyone to leave them. People who โretireโ from the Illuminati are targeted individuals by the Illuminati and are being watched. One guy got shot, guy time traveled to right before he was shot, then brought him here, and said: this is your body, and proceeded to threaten him. โBut I was a High Level Individual.โ โNot anymore. That ended when you decided to retire, thinking you can actually leave.โ
>>40522695The demon usually pukes out the soul afterwards, he or she is unable to digest it, only feast upon energy extracted from it, becoming more powerful themselves. Christianโs have been kidnapped, had their soul stolen from them, then force fed to them to defile their bodies. So the first place Satan puts a soul to defile it is his putrid asshole. Then you can figure out the rest. Satan makes new fallen angels prove their loyalty by fucking a fly. If they refuse, they are still holding on. Then after that he will have them defile themselves even further. Sex with an Angel of the Lord is so pure, to be the first human they have sex with. The only time you gain a small amount of their power. You still gain power from intercourse from a fallen angel, but itโs not the same as an angel of the lord. Thatโs one reason the med of Sodom and Gommorah wanted to know the 2 angels, they wanted power. D80sr
>>40522801Or they defile the soul by shitting it out. The soul gets defiled by being inside the demon
The Full Armor of God doesnโt protect against a being robbed of your Soul. There have been cases where strong faithful Christians have had their soul taken and they were shocked. Itโs high level Sorcery
>>40522840Prayer will help

https://x.com/elitefeat/status/1799553063390154856
============================
This planet is not Earth. It is Bozrah.
Earth is another planet about 75,000 light years from here, whereas this planet is merely an impostor planet that calls itself "Earth." Big difference. And trust me, I know how to count to 10 seconds, ACCURATELY. What used to be 10.00 seconds (for me) is now a whopping 15.00 seconds! If you don't believe me, see Matthew 24:22 and Revelation 8:12. For the natives, though, the speed of time here has always been the same.
If you are a Bozrah native, you are in serious trouble. The people of this planet must acknowledge that Bozrah is not Earth and that Jesus is coming to destroy it. Otherwise, don't expect God to save you.
============================
The event in which Jesus destroys this planet is called "the day of vengeance." There is no 7-year Tribulation here.

What does esotericism actually mean?
>>40536013>Why don't you call him Tauli?I wish we would still latinize German family names like it used to be, just to sound cool and educated. For example in the novel Anton Reiser (which touches on Christian esotericism a bit), he's called Reiserus at one point of time when he was recognized as a proper artists and scholar.
>>40534643 โYou have heard that it was said to the people long ago, โYou shall not murder,[a] and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.โ 22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister[b][c] will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, โRaca,โ[d] is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, โYou fool!โ will be in danger of the fire of hell.
23 โTherefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
25 โSettle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.
38 โYou have heard that it was said, โEye for eye, and tooth for tooth.โ[h] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. 42 Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.
43 โYou have heard that it was said, โLove your neighbor[i] and hate your enemy.โ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
>>40536124The boring parts are important because otherwise you won't get the 5% you're interested in
>>40536128Its debated, but the easiest way to understand what esotericism is is to see it as "claims of super-mundane knowledge", so anything from pre-modern medicine, "i know that these herbs have certain hidden traits that cause x to happen" to "i have seen God", its both broad enough to include everything considered esoteric, and narrow enough to divide it from other categories
Super-mundane knowledge is synonymous with "Gnosis", but not Gnosticism, Gnosticism is the belief that Knowledge saves, Christianity is opposed to Gnosticism because we believe that faith saves, but that doesn't stop us from having Gnosis, we have Gnosis in Paul, in John, in Barnabas and in the Church, and its about knowing the world, the soul and the bible to know God

Can games be used to glorify God? Like Tokein's literature, which was not overtly Christian, but it tries to teach Christian morals and maybe soften the hearts of non-believers. If you're inspired to create something like that, could that be divine inspiration or a work that can be offered to glorify God? Many Renaissance artists dedicated their art to God and believed they had divine inspiration. Even Tolkien believed that you can't create out of nothing, and we had a creative flame as subcreators who were children of God. Is this blasphemous, prideful, or generally accepted as okay in orthodox/ catholic doctrine?
>>40538543Yes, because from a Christian perspective the quality of art is dependant on its relationship with religion, religious art is more beautiful that secular art, as the former is created to lift you up to heavenly things, the latter not so
>>40537012Jesus says something like that several times, so it's hard to tell what you're referring to. A few possibilities might be Mark 4:13, regarding interpreting parables, Mark 7:18, where Jesus says that uncleanness is about evil intentions, not what you eat, Mark 8:17, regarding the meaning of the bread-multiplying miracles, John 3:10, regarding the meaning of being born again/born from above, and John 8:43, where Jesus tells some Jews that their father is the Devil and they tell him that he's a Samaritan with a demon (very wholesome).
Gail Riplinger would have something to say about all this garbage.
>>40539721I've never heard of her before, but her wikipedia article is among the most scathing I've ever seen.
"New Age Bible Versions has the author's name "G. A. Riplinger", which stands for "God and Riplinger": "Each discovery was not the result of effort on my part, but of the direct hand of God โ so much so that I hesitated to even put my name on the book. Consequently, I used G. A. Riplinger, which signifies to me, God and Riplinger โ God as author and Riplinger as secretary." David Cloud calls this statement "amazing and frightful", and says that "even the most radical charismatic prophets hesitate to use such intemperate language"."
"A lengthy critical review of her book originally published in Cornerstone in 1994 [..] concluded by summarizing "There is hardly a page of this book that is free from error. Riplinger does not know Greek, Hebrew, textual criticism, linguistics, principles of translation, logical argumentation, proper citation and documentation standards, competent English grammar and style, or even consistent spelling."
>>40538839Thanks but he said this verbatim. What did you not understand? Also the Jews called him a lunatic, not a Samaritan, but that got changed too.
>>40539859Orange man bad. Trust the wiki. Avoid reading and reaching own conclusions.
>>40522840Prayer and fasting read the manual
>>40539721The Lamsa version came out in the 1950s, it's a translation of the Syriac (Nestorian) Bible. It reads almost like a KJV but the author inserted weird changes like putting Mongolia in the list of nations in Genesis 10 because of his own schizo theories. Riplinger would have known about it.
>>40540153Doesn't matter in this context. The soul belongs to God and no one can it from him.
You can indeed be influenced into never getting saved, therefore losing your soul in that sense, but once saved, it's over for the soul snatchers...
>>40539951Okay, I acquired some of the book via the wonderous power of the internet and had a look through it. And at first I thought that maybe she wasn't so bad... but then the poetry started, totally unannounced. And it never fully stops, just ebbs and flows. A disturbingly large portion of her writing throughout the book seems to be guided by compulsive use of consonance, rhyme, imagery, and freeform association, with limited sparks of reasoning in between.
My diagnosis: She's completely insane, but much more interesting than I expected.

>>40540355>Here's the poetry at a more subtle but still very noticeable level from the introduction before it really takes off, most noticeable in retrospect:This book is written in loving concern for those who are โvictimsโ of these versions. Unsuspecting Christians have been carried off by an ancient chariot, resurrected and given a fresh coat of paint by Madison Avenue. (Is that Latin for โhail the newโ?) It appears that there is a vast difference between the press publicity and the product. This chasm, characteristic of the coming anti- christ Big Brother era, was called โNewspeakโ by George Orwell. It is built of soap bubbles which burst at the slightest touch of analysis. The documentation herein will scatter to the wind many false arguments and confident conclusions. After this evidence is made public, new versions will keep afloat only on the hot air of emotion and preconceived prejudice.
>victims - versions>Madison Avenue - hail the new>press publicity product>chasm characteristic coming>documentation herein - will scatter to the windIt's actually really interesting that someone would write like this, though it definitely feels like a bait-and-switch when you're expecting a book that... doesn't do that. It makes it very difficult to concentrate on the semantic content.

>>40542674>anthroposophyIt's a form of Theosophy that has replaced almost all Eastern influences with Christian and Western alternatives. Rudolf Steiner used to be a member of the Theosophical Society but there were schisms and he left to form anthroposophy. Do Christians have to actively support Israel? I don't really think about the middle east, but I got this sermon from a young protestant bible study and in the first minute, the teacher says countries that are at odds with Israel will be destroyed by god.
He lists the following:
>Britain her empire after ww1 because they broke their faith with Israel
>Spain reduced to a fifth grade nation after the inquisition against the jews
>Poland fell after the pogroms
>Nazis were defeated after the genocide
>Greece conquered by Rome after conquering palestine and desecrating the jewish temple during the maccabean revolts
>Rome fell after killing the apostles and destroying Jerusalem
I'm not super religious, but my understanding is Christ fulfilled the old covenant and gave his believers a new covenant. Paul also wrote about how we didn't have to adhere to mosaic law. But are we still obligated to advocate for Israel because Jeruselem is there and jews also have a covenant with god?
He lists Britain losing the empire because it broke faith with Israel, but Britain didn't commit pogroms or anything. It simply didn't want to deal with the unrest that comes with creating a Jewish state. China became a great power without dealing with the middle east. It doesn't make sense.
>>40545068*I saw this video of young guy teaching at a protestant bible study.

That doesn't mean I support any israeli's sin (just as I don't anybody else's), but when it comes to Israel collectively, it's the biblical thing to do.
God bless the nation of Israel forever.

>>40546321Orthodox jews have the spiritual discernment of 10 pounds of scabs.
>>40546343I don't know what that means but reformed & conservative Jews are even worse
>>40546363It means that jews (for the most part, and specially the militant ones) have rejected the Light of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and remain in complete spiritual darkness up to to this day, thus nothing that comes specifically from their religion (which they set above God's covenant in open rebellion) is to be believed or accepted.

>>40552266God speaks primarily through his word, the bible
God can speak in other ways, like through teachers or synchronicities and such but you'd need an understanding of the bible to discern such things.

I am tired of Christian pacifism and complement towards the crimes and sins of this world, and i have hate for orthodox more than i did before. They try to shove this "Don't hate on others" mentality no matter how justified the hate is and when their preaching doesn't work they hate on those who don't fall for their nonsense.
>>40553974And how do you determine/interpret what he is saying
>>40553980I don't exclude Catholics as "fake christians" or heretics necessarily and I respect a lot of their historical contributions to theology but I can't become Catholic because I feel it would oblige me to defend things that I don't see as honestly defensible (like Peter being a pope, and their practice of icon veneration). And I can't afford to let my own personal beliefs be placed into this particular box.
also there seems to be quite a lot of corruption from the top down. Like the Marcial Maciel stuff kind of made me sick and it seemed like pope john Paul the second was complicit in it (God forgive me if I'm wrong), and I suspect Benedict stepped down when he realized how deep the nastiness went.

For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with what measure you measure, it will be measured to you.
Keeping in mind that the point is not that we aren't allowed to call out evil, but rather showing apprehensiveness towards condemnation. Loving our enemies is what separates us from heathens.
I think "Christians" who genuinely wish eternal torment on anyone deserve to be psyched out at the pearly gates that they're the ones who are going to get eternal torment. And then they should get a more reasonable response relative to their actions in life just like everyone else.

There's also the Holy Spirit conviction that scares me into submission if I'm about to do something against God's will, or about to "set it aside for a later time" when He's pressing me to do it right away.
All in all, if what you think God is telling you contradicts scripture, you can safely throw it away.

>OK. And what of the people who have twisted scriptures and create fake ones to deceive people for centuries now? >>40558354Kind of sounds like you expect Jesus to come down and raygun the whole thing into a dust pile at once, but that's not how it works biblically. God works through people and heavenly beings alike.
The thing is, though, it's going to happen as Revelation says it will; no one can haste it.
I need help.
At first i fell into gnosticism, i didn't believe it 100% but some stuff made sense to me, i also got more into mythology such as the Greek and Norse gods and their stories, i didn't worship any of them though, i always stayed true to Jesus.
The other day i fell back into lust, after over a month of not looking at anything dirty or touching myself i felt an uncontrollable lust inside me and i shamefully touched myself.
Then when i had a mental freak out about all the sins of the world i went to an orthodox Christian Discord server and they all hated on me when i was trying to be honest with my feelings and what i know the Holy Spirit is guiding me towards.
And now today i found out that my online friend group betrayed and abandoned me over someone who agrees with my views throwing me under the bus for them because he doesn't like how open i am with them, he didn't even talk to me about his issues, he just turned almost everyone against me and ruined my relationships.
I am lost and confused. I feel like i have lost my blessings and i am unsure about my life choices and where God is leading me and no matter where i look i can't find anyone to help me, along with other stuff i find hard to properly articulate.
I pray to God that i can find someone who can help me.
>>40558381Ya already gave me that scripture and i already replied to it with this

>Satan's just a tool in God's hand. He cannot prevail against God's will to preserve His word.Actually satan is the guy trying to screw over God's plan and harm people by deceiving them into walking off the path o God.
I really mean no offense but i just don't believe that what the church has done to the bible is completely what God intended. Like i said these are the same people who tried to accuse Mary Magdalene a prostitute. That just raises even more questions as to what else the have tried to change from the bible.
>>40558414>Kind of sounds like you expect Jesus to come down and raygun the whole thing into a dust pile at once, but that's not how it works biblically. >>40558627I was mentally freaking out at the time so i admit i did not articulate myself properly but i basically stated that i feel like God wants me to be a warrior and that he wants me to be a killer.
Although in hindsight, and i take full fault here, i should have specified that i feel the Holy Spirit guiding me to be a warrior against evil and slay the demonic forces of this world, basically i feel like i am being set up by God to be apart of his army, to protect his followers by dealing with those who are too wicked with hearts too hardened.
I should go back and make things more clear. One's actions don't seem too terrible until they snap out of their mental breakdown huh?
But yeah, i can't apologies enough, but from what they told me i know that i am at least on the right path.
Oh, i almost forgot, this happened when i told them that i was stressed out over the sins of others in this world and when i was told to focus on myself and pray for them i was honest with my feelings and said that i do do that but no matter how much i pray for someone it does nothing so i stopped praying for others who i feel to be too wicked and i still pray for my own sins yet i still felt nothing is happening.
After i rejected the guy's advice by telling him that i already do do what he told me and that it's not working for me he then started insulting me, he says focus on yourself and not others but as soon as i started looking for another answer that wasn't his he lashed out at me. It was after that that my flight or fight got alarmed so i started saying things out of stress without thinking. This lead to a back and forth of me trying to articulate my feelings with everyone else mocking me.

>>40559392Ok I understand. It can be difficult to express yourself when you're in such a state, and social media circles like that are full of people who just want to dogpile and mob and be part of a group for reason to appease their ego. >>40508170Bait? Please explain away those verses.
>>40561182I think God comes first and then morality
If morality comes first then it's effectively just making ourselves God (which is what most atheists actually want).
Truth is I question how much slavery is actually cared about vs how much it's just used a strategy to make people think "hmmm this verse makes me uncomfortable and idk how to explain it, I guess the whole bible is false now." First of all the truth of the bible isn't dependent upon me knowing the meaning of every verse, it's dependent more on the historical footprint of the person of Jesus. Secondly, I understand the humbling fact that if we had access to the words of the creator, some of it will naturally go over my head. Thirdly, this scripture was written in ancient times, it was another world back then. Even the New Testament says some laws were only given due to the hardness of men's hearts. This opens a whole new discussion about how much God is willing to compromise with our free will vs bending it to his own will. But such conversations can really only meaningfully take place with those of good faith
Btw explanations to those verses do exist, but I doubt they'd be satisfying to you if you're incapable of putting yourself in the shoes of bronze age tribals.
>>40561240>But such conversations can really only meaningfully take place with those of good faithI just mean good faith in general btw, not faith in Christianity. I'm not one of those who thinks you need the Holy Spirit to understand Christianity fairly, but you need the Holy Spirit to believe it in a way that leads to salvation.
>>40561240You have to concede that God is either not all powerful, all knowing or all loving to make your world view work. A perfect God will take perfect actions and no journey is needed for a perfect outcome. Don't come at me with "arguing in good faith" bullshit when you don't even come at it from that angle with how you opened that post.
>>40561240>If you follow Morality you don't have faith in God!GTFO with that. Take solace in the fact that atheists will never find it. They currently think you can derive morals from evolution. But you can't derive ought from is. You'd need a spiritual functionalist approach to evolution, and even then Morality is a matter of human development within a culture. Even Christ in his Kingdom of God is human development within a culture.
Then they have humanism, which is literally nonsense because these same materialist atheists will invent transhumanist technology. Everybody is going to have a different Constitution
>>40561256I actually agree but neither of us have the capacity to understand what "perfection" entails from a cosmic standpoint
>>40561269Btw I should have been clear that I don't agree with the point on concession, only that the standard must be perfection. But it's a moot point since we are not perfect
>>40561182Alright but first, what's there to "explain away"?
>>40561256>Omnipotence, omniscience, omnibenevolence paradoxWho says God is that?
>>40561333Checked. God is the three O's. Benevolence does not start with an O. And Omnibenevolence is not a Word.

Do the people around you know that youโre deeply religious?
>>40561155>How intense is this desire?Depends on the amount of stress i have but at worse the desire has been so bad i have to isolate myself in fear of what i might do.
>Do you ever have "episodes"?Not anymore but when i was a kid who couldn't handle my emotions i was going crazy, all throughout my childhood and teen years i would always lash out and harm others. I look back at the boy i once was and find myself hating the rage filled lunatic i used to be. Oh i remember how i was always the one having explosive freak out at school and scaring the other kids, but despite all i have done, the kids were never afraid of me, and they never hated me, in fact all the times i have been a menace at school all of the other kids would always forgive me without word and they even stated and proved through their actions how much they liked me despite my rage tendencies. I know that last part feels off topic but it's something i wanted to get off my chest as the forgiveness of my school is something i look back on and realize just how good i had it and how much i squander myself.

>>40534643God doesn't listen to your prayers because you guys are wicked faggots who practice mystery religion and occultism. Even your prayers are an abomination to God.
The answer is yes btw, but he won't listen to your prayers.
>>40556256The catholic cult teaches a false gospel that doesn't save. They're all going to hell. They're also one of the biggest persecutors of the church in the new testament age. But it's not even like Catholics understand the new covenant, in fact, most "Christians" don't, and even most "Christians" aren't saved because they're trusting in their filthy rags to save themselves rather than trusting Christ alone to be saved.
>>40556363Psalms 139:21-22 KJV
God's not some tree-hugging faggot hippie, like the false god you've created in your image.
>>40558102Taken out of the context of Romans. Read Galatians 3, who hath bewitched you? Probably that crooked lawyer Scofield who was divorced and remarried and unqualified to be a pastor of a church, the Bible says such a man is worse than an infidel as he provided not for his own house.
>>40563997A person can be saved if they truly get the core of the gospel, which can still be found more or less intact in some catholic bibles, but that's getting saved despite catholicism, not because of it. Howbeit, they're going to famish spriitually because anything peculiar of catholicism is indeed garbage.
>>40563997>Psalms 139:21-22Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
Matthew 5:43-45
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

What do you think about Ruusbroec?
>>40567344Only good thoughts
Jean Gerson complains about him though, as he sees Ryusbroec as too "mystical" and he prefers his mystical theology to be much more dry
Do you pray in Latin or your native language?
>>40567406He's a bit underrated, isn't he?
>>40567481both
I also recently heard a rabbi, lecturing some americans, that if you are in a foreign country it's best to pray in the local language (... or hebrew)
by that logic I would say that, for a catholic, latin would be the "officially recommended" language to pray in
>>40510793Charisma has always been associated with magic in video games or D&D. Interesting you bring that up. I didn't ever relate charisma to relife, but now it makes sense why it's in RPGs and why I was always wondering what charisma meant for Magic or how it related to it.
>>40567736The problem is that my native language is closer to my heart than Latin.
>>40568168then use your native language of course (or both... or learn hebrew too and use all three, why not?)
>The problem iswhy is it a problem? if you look up the latin or pray in it from time to time, its words it can actually enhance your appreciation for your native language (and vice versa)
>>40567850>but now it makes sense why it's in RPGshow come? i always thought rpg's used it in the "how to win friends and influence people" to cut down on complexity of how you relate to npc's (as it could have probably been replaced by a combination of intelligence, wisdom, and constitution/endurance)
>>40567481>>40567736>I also recently heard a rabbi, lecturing some americans, that if you are in a foreign country it's best to pray in the local language (... or hebrew)Why would this matter
Why would the words matter as opposed to the meaning of words
>>40568195You're right, some Latin words have immense powers and beauty
>>40568405Because form dictates the meaning
>>40568423In what way does would this be exclusive from one language over another

Interesting passage:
1 Corinthians 3:10-15
"According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building on it. Let each builder choose with care how to build on it. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, strawโthe work of each builder will become visible, for the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each has done.If the work that someone has built on the foundation survives, the builder will receive a wage.If the work is burned up, the builder will suffer loss; the builder will be saved, but only as through fire."
>>40568466Latin is the language of the church
>>40568531That didn't really answer my question
>>40568539Thatโs the reason why I asked whether you pray in Latin and why I think Latin is especially important for praying in Christianity.
>>40568554Why is Latin the language of your institution over Greek or Hebrew
>>40568556I donโt know, probably has something to do with the fact that itโs based in Rome
>>40568599That just makes it sound geographical
Why would it matter to pray specifically in that language then
Please don't take me in a circle and say "because it's the language of my institution"
>>40568632Im not a theologian, so I canโt answer your question. My question intended to start exactly such a debate.
>>40568668It sounds like something people would do just for the sake of sounding spiritual or mystical
I don't mean you in particular.
>>40568686It is true and I have experience this myself that certain Latin words have great powers and trigger certain feelings inside of me.
>>40568745It can't be discussed any further if your only appeal is to personal experience. Every religion claims such phenomena for themselves.
>>40568791Direct experience and feeling is the basis of religion.
>>40568828It would need to be validated through some objective metric, for example the bible as proven through the historical person of Jesus
If all mystical experiences were equal then yours are just as valid as the schizo who thinks angels are telling him to set fires
>>40568837That is true, I'm just saying such phenomena shouldn't be completely discarded.

1- Only one those verses is said by Christ. The first four are laws from ancient Israel. The last one, said by Christ, is completely out of context. He was narrating a parable for the coming of God. In this parable, he tells the story of a slave who thinking that his master was bever coming back, he started drinking and destroying the house. When his master comes back and finds him like that, he gets punished. Thus, you (represented as the slave) should always act correctly and you should wait for the coming of your master (God) even if he is taking his time. It's a parable, not a literal teaching.
2- In ancient times if you didn't have slaves you were condemned to getting conquered by a civilization who had them. It simply was a gigantic advantage.
Aristotle talks about this. In his Politics he says that if we had machines that could work on their own, we would not need slaves. Curiously, slavery became illegal soon after the industrial revolution, where automatized machines were invented. Do you seriously think this was a coincidence all over the world?
During night time I'm really chill but during the day time I always want to argue

What is the divine essence?
>>40573390It's God what he is in himself, meaning its unknowable and cannot be described, so we have to use hyper-statements, we can't say that God is good, God isn't good, he is above goodness, hyper-good (hyper means above/over in greek) that's the only way to the "unknowing" of his essence

What's the goal of esoteric tendencies besides mysticism?
Not a mystic, but for Revelation Fr. Castellani interprets the 7 trumpets as:
1. Barbarian invasions
2. Islam
3. The Eastern Schism
4. The Western Schism
5. The Protestant Revolution
6. The World War(s)
7. The Antichrist himself
That is, the social events God's people suffers in the Christian era til the end of times, the spiritual causes of posterior punishments. So we would be living in the penultimate or last stage of history.
Meanwhile, the 7 plagues would be
1. Syphilis. A disease to punish the Beast's followers sexual sins. It's an old disease that suddenly appears among all countries from time to time.
2. Discord among nations.
3. Class struggle and the degeneracy of culture.
4. Perversions of modern science
5. Destruction of the political life /old regime, governors losing their sovereignty
6. The world war
7. The second coming itself
The White horse: Christendom era up to Napoleon.
Red horse: weaponized peace era up to the world wars
Black horse: post world war era we live in
Pale horse: the end.
The Middle Ages might have been the thousand years Satan was bound.
He speculates, in 1945, the events before and during the end of times:
1. The consolidation of the jewish people into a nation state, the kingdom of Israel.
2. The union of nations in great blocks, concentrating both economic and political power. The first Beast.
3. Emergence of the second Beast doctrine. Could be freemasonry, socialism, the lead of an antipope, etc.
4. Political persecution to those that reject the doctrine, the mark of the Beast. Money with blaspheme inscriptions.
5. Economic blocking to those that remain christian, blacklisted internationally.
6. The two witnesses, who shall die. May involve the death of the last Pope.
7. The death of the latter day saints globally, among the apostasy.
8. A brief time of peace with the Antichrist as an emperor, before the end.

"he says that thanks to Truman the atomic bomb will be the tool to bring eternal peace to the world. I wish that were true! But the atomic bomb will probably the technical tool to unify the world in terror, meanwhile the socialist christian party represents the tool to unify the world in lies. The two elements are the mix of the Lay Emperor (the Antichrist) and the withdrawal of the mysterious restrainer (Katechon). This unless a great reaction from the christian world with the triumph of the church open up a last golden era in the world before the end (Church of Philadelphia - brotherly love), buying more time for the last church (Laodicea - judgment of the nations)"
