Particularly in the case of the O9A, whats their deal? What do they want, who do they work for/with? They freak me out, there is a lot of contradictory info on them

Lately 09A has been creating mind control slaves through an affiliate group called 764. 764 has also splintered off into smaller groups where they appear to be grooming unstable teens into doing shootings and stabbings through discord chats. I think they want to be the Jokler and spread chaos.

Definitely don't look at subversive movements especially given the necessity of hiding particularly accepting preloading of context with spurious assertions because assuredly it must be as simple as posited by agitprop would have you trust erroneously
