What are some good grimoires for summoning angels that aren't material intensive?
I don't really have a way to get my hands on "holy water" or parchment or incense like in Maximus Avery's book.

Jesus H. Christ-on-a-Stick! You ask and invite an angel, or ask God to send you one! You don't compel them and piss them off! If you pray over water in the glass, you've made it holy! You can find Incense in "occult" shops and elsewhere. Plain ordinary paper will do just fine - some SOB magickian's grimoires deliberately obfuscate things and enjoy saying you need unobtainiums, or are using "code" words for something else entirely ~ you don't need parchment for any reason at all!

acquire a copper vessel, and use that for drinking water.

no money or material objects are actually required for communicating with angels

incense is nice, but also not necessary

it's difficult to describe what happens with water because water is supremely magical to begin with

storing water in copper purifies it, which the ancients of all cultures knew well. you may want to read up on copper water in ancient egypt or india.

after a night in a copper vessel, the water tastes much better, and becomes a health-giving elixir. if that copper vessel is kept near your bed during sleep, the water will be "imprinted" by the dreams that you had

it's even better if the water is chilled below 4c before imbibing, and is kept near crystals -- a single piece of quartz kept in the bottle is more than sufficient for a very potent magical effect. i use quartz and agni manitite in mine.

Just get the Damon Brand Gallery of Magick books. They really work for angels.
