So, I got this weird rainbow-colored lamp a while ago. No brand, just looked cool. The first night I turned it on and fell asleep with it, I had this super vivid dream where I was in a fake-looking forest — like hospital-wall paintings of trees — and a broken red/brown door ahead of me.

I went through it and entered what looked like a massive abandoned shopping mall or storage facility. It felt… wrong. It was freezing, but my body stayed warm. There was a constant humming sound, like from AC units, but no clear source. I stayed still at first, scared to move — like in a horror game when you're too afraid to leave the starting area.

There were weird inconsistencies — shelves, metal vents with holes, abandoned junk… and then at one point, a blob of what looked like magma reacted to a glass surface and exploded near me. I woke up with a real mark on my hand, like a pinprick. It’s still there. No LEDs in my room. Nothing like that.

I thought it was a freaky dream until I turned the lamp back on days later… and I landed exactly where I left off. Same place. Same creepy silence. Like it's not just a dream — it's a place.

There’s no visible outside world, and it feels more like a lab or a dumping ground than a dream. I didn’t see anything alive, but I swear this place is meant for something. Or someone. If I ever meet someone in there who doesn’t want to hurt me, I’ll try to find out everything.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Like a dreamspace or dimension you can only access through a specific object?

Update: Thanks to the two anons who replied. Yeah, I’m thinking of turning the lamp on again tonight — not gonna lie, it freaks me out, but curiosity's eating me alive. If it takes me back to that same place, I’ll try to explore further instead of freezing at the start.

Yeah, I have been there several times in my lucid dreaming astral projecting dimension hopping journeys. I call it simply a dream mall. Its not really that scary once you get used to it, nothing much happens there other than the usual dreamy shenanigans. Its a pretty useful place actually, because its, you know, a mall. When im in a dream and find myself in a dire need of an item, I just hop right over to the mall and look for said item there. Works like 9 times out of 10. Only thing you need to be careful of is an older gal called Lidia. She says that she works there, but there’s not much work to be done, so she just wanders around and tries to give useless advice. Or even worse, sometimes she tries to suck you into her endless monologs about how she wishes for her shift to be over already. She's not like cursed or anything, or even a bad person really... She's trying to play it cool, but I think she just wants to feel useful for once. Say hi to her for me.

Alright, minor update. I haven’t re-entered yet, but I’ve been talking with someone else who’s been to the same place. He called it a “dream mall” and described a woman named Lidia who wanders around like she works there, giving weird advice or rambling about her shift never ending.

Update from last night: I went back in.

It was the same place — the mall, silent, with that endless humming, but now there were hygiene products and bottles of alcohol on the shelves, which I hadn’t seen before.

I saw Lidia again... or something that looked like her. I just said "hi" and she immediately started rambling nonsense, like "I rode a unicorn while eating popcorn on Netflix." Not exactly that, but you get the idea. Total gibberish. She eventually just faded away like a glitch. Might’ve been a hallucination.

Later, I wandered deeper into the abandoned zones. That’s when I saw them:
Two white, circular floating eyes.
No mouth, no face — just the eyes, staring. And trust me, the moment you see them, you know they’re watching. The instant I looked straight at them...
