My search for truth has been arduous and I still haven't found enlightenment however I am getting closer slowly. Here's what I've found out until now. Some things I'm sure about, some things not
Never lie ever. (Sure). God is real. (Unsure). Veganism is the way. (Unsure). Asceticism is good and can help achieve enlightenment. (Sure). I'm stuck between Buddhism, and the religion that has no name that I am following right now the religion of truth alone basically which could be true and primordial like basically the first religion to exist in this universe or cycle in case reality is cyclical. So. Hinduism has been an option for a long time for me but I'm slowly moving away from it and returning to Buddhism and discovering more about the religion which has no name. Tell me what you think. May all beings be happy.

The man lived one hundred years ago, that's modern to me. I almost exclusively read ancient stuff like the Upanishads, dhammapada, lotus sutra, and so on.

First, good luck in your journey, don't forget that the most precious things are not the answers you're seeking, but what you will find along the way to those answers.

Tell me more about your perceptive of the religion with no name, I'm curious

Yet you do not understand them if you think time is real.

Thanks for that I appreciate that. The religion with no name as I call it, is not a religion in the actual sense. It's more correctly called a spiritual philosophy of sorts. It's basically just accepting all religions that exist around you, and their rituals, but following in yourself the truth alone without any other stuff that comes and goes. You can practice any religion and follow this philosophy, sort of like masonry but of course masonry is different because the last stage of it is discarding your religion for masonry and I do not practice that although you will indeed sacrifice your beliefs and formal religion if you follow this path. This path means being like a baby, no attachment to the world, no beliefs except what remains when you strip your mind of everything false. And never lying is the primary moral commandment of that path. This is the "religion which has no name", I shouldn't call it religion though. Right now I don't know if the ancient progenitors actually practiced this, but it could be possible.>>40525351
Time is called god in hinduism. So don't think you know anything about Hinduism or let alone more than myself, since you obviously don't.

The reason I disregard your book is, the ancient sages who wrote the upanishads spent decades in brahmacharya, sannyasis who meditated all day and did pranayama all day, meditated on the om sound, and so on. How much of the commitment does your Paul bruner or whatever have? He doesn't have even one fifth of the effort. So that is the reason and it is very logical.

No. Ramana maharshi is possibly, as far as I can perceive, someone who had a fake life. He doesn't radiate acceptance and tolerance, peace, love, from pictures I saw of him. He radiates obstinacy as far as I can tell. That's clear if you look at pictures of him. I see that clearly, however maybe he had at least somewhat spiritual experiences so he's slightly above the average. Also he was an Indian, and indians haven't had good sages since like 1500 or so. Look at the catholic saints of the modern age (1500 and after). That is where modern truth and truthfulness are experienced.>>40525439
As I said, I was wrong, but why do you feel the ego drive to insult and ridicule me? Do you really think an upanishadic seer would do that? Check your reality.
