Just listened to the new Queens of the Stone Age album, and it made me dig deeper into the Paris Catacombs. What do you lads think of them? Is it respectful art, or desecration of the deceased?

I think theyre incredible, and josh homme is a great dude, seemingly humble nowadays these days, but he's been through the shit over the years, like clockwork is a good album to look into behind the scenes and what josh was going through, from what I know, it's most likely respectful art and a calculated artistic decision if you consider the aesthetic that they are goin, I don't believe it's a desecration of the deceased considering there's other media that made movies around the catacombs, it's immersing themselves around the grim history or the grim atmosphere that is around the catacombs, which would make the listener take on a more somber approach to the music, than the usual rock n roll outlook

Not to mention he was very sick from his cancer battle while recording this EP. He is dancing with death as he sings to the dead. Beautiful stuff. Homme is GOAT. One of the last true rockstars.

Me too man, me too. Saw an interview recently where he said "there's no way I'm making it to 80", and it sounded so sincere. Damn shame, that dude is monumentally talented and his music means alot to me.
