Do amulets, talismans and charms work if people don't believe in them?

Most people who wear them know that most people don’t believe in them.

yes
belief doesn't matter in artifacts
all that matters is the entanglement of it's atoms
often entanglement wants to remain secret except to its sole viewer as well

They scare away people who are afraid of magic.

If it's from God, yes.

“And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.” (Genesis 4:15)

“Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” (Ezekiel 9:6)

“Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” (Revelation of John 7:3)

I was thinking in something like: if I want to give something for protection to someone, if that person dont believe in it but I do, does it hold any power?

Do you believe in the underlying concepts like wanting to be rod of envious eyes? If so, they're a reminder.

Yeah that's usually fine.
If it's related to a deity then it might help to make a small offering/ sacrifice for it while announcing your intentions and who it's going to

I’d say yes, depending on the enchanter. I have a friend who is from a Catholic family and his parents allowed myself and several other friends to visit for Christmas. One dude was Muslim, one an atheist, and one was a Buddhist, and my buddy is Catholic.

It was a small town with not much going on, but We all decided to go see if we could go to New York and find something to do in town like a movie or bar or something, and my buddies mom gave us these tiny bottles of holy water and these little Christian coin thingies (idk what they were called) for protection before we left, and then she said a prayer for us.

Nothing bad happened to us that night. Despite only one or two of us really believing in the ritual, so I’m assuming my buddies mom is a capable spiritual adept. Every time we visit she does the same thing.

I'm open to it but definitely they can have psychological effects. A lot of top performers have stuff like this. It's almost required.

Yes and no
The individual might not believe it works but enough other people believe it works therefore it works.

More like how orks work in 40k.
You might find it stupid, but a majority of people believe its not stupid and it works.
They apply the similar logic in vampire the masquerade were in theory a financial broker could use his credit card to slay a vampire because of his faith and trust in the financial system.
>This sounds dumb
The universe is full of stupid stuff like this the more you look into it.
