the reason why the doll is haunted is because the spirit has unfinished business (if its a dead person) or its a demon.

if its a dead person, they'll try to posses you, and in the end destroy you, since these types unfinished business tends to be due to a horrible end or life, you'll end in prison charged with murder or you'll end up getting killed so that the spirit in question can escape.

if its a demon, it will try to destroy you because it hates mankind.
