there are overlaps between mystical experiences and jhana states, you can get into jhana statss by chanting psalms, praying to God, asking God for something, contemplating quotes and stories from the Bible.

I think it's not against the rules in any way and can be adapted. Also foreign words for things can have an interesting effect of allowing people to accept their meaning without argument. Native words are often loaded with other connotations, but new words can be anything.
