I've heard this game has some parallels to the Masonic Magic Flute Opera and more, the Tree of Life inside the Moon from the Engame and the Colorful Final Boss room feel Kabbalistic and Psychedelic. Not to mention all the references to Death throughout the game. I've also heard Majora's Mask itself is related to Fractals Somehow and the Moon being evil is related to Soultrap theories (like how Pac-Man devours Souls and was based on shapes from the thermal signatures of Saturn's Moons Mimas and Tethys).

Link himself also wears a Luciferian Emerald Green Tunic and uses Masks which also Sychronistically aligns with Loki as The King of Masks.

I took it as Link traveling through the Bardo realms bringing balance to various aspects of the shared psyche represented by the masks in order to achieve apotheosis as the Fierce Deity who is the ascended whole self. This sounds like a perfect description of Majora's Mask to me, the Mask Bosses/Spirits being the fears that Link has to face, and the time limit of the Tower is indeed a forceful push that forces us to face the truth and make necessary changes in our lives.

The Moon does bring up the fears and the situation is indeed unstable, we do rely on our intuition when we are lost and overwhelmed in the dungeons. But in the end it is a positive change and transformation.
