Quite simple really.
You encountered that image before and subsequently projected a facsimile of it onto your dreamscape.
I don't question the hodgepodge nature of dream aesthetics anymore, since they're often a reflection of an image or piece of media I had recently encountered prior to the dream.

Ok I gonna “highjack” this and tell you about my dream.
Have you ever had a dream, were you see something, and then IN DREAM you suddenly have another memory of a similar event happening to you before?
Mine was in such a way, that I don’t know if it was a false memory created inside my dream, a memory from another dream that I forgot; or a suppressed memory?
It was about me seeing a little girl in a really dark place though it was public. I sorta knew she can’t be human because what the hell she is doing there on her own (think 6 year old) the moment I got closer, I got hit by another memeory. I think in this memeory I was a child and I saw a girl, also a child, but this time it was in a dark cave, and I was talking to her. I didn’t know how I even come here and I also knew she is not human.
Some details: in first dream little girl had accent, told me she is not human, and she can prove it by showing me a pic of her grandma who lives “down there” and then reluctantly went to get it
In the memory dream one, she didn’t have accent, never claimed to be non human and pretended to be normal
