They do this programming on runaways and trafficked kids but they also do it to their own children. The shit they do to their own children is just as bad but there are important differences. Reason being is they say they are of special bloodlines and they have I shit you not bene gesserit tier breeding programs amongst key families that are of the right "bloodline".
The trauma based programming has many uses but its main purposes are to condition the mind in order to control it and also they think (there is something to it but there is more to it than just this) they can make wonder children and their culmination is what Christians like Russ and me would call the antichrist. They think that through demonic transference and inducing ritual trauma on very young children that latent 'psionic" abilities can be brought out of them.
