If you're awakened you will already have to deal with them. If you softly awaken your loved ones they will be one your ass and if you try that with the world well your incarnation will be shortened greatly.

There are ways to trigger the reset as a human. This involves ritual sacrifice and summoning demons into the real world at specific leylines to break the stability of the physical world.
After that, at the site of the chaos, the landmass will curl up into itself and become a vortex world. All human beings will disintegrate, their souls will be the fuel to create a new world. Some call this The Rapture.

A few human residents will always escape The Rapture. They will need to contact spirit sponsors, or "gods" and accumulate souls to re-create the world in their image.

All this is a systematic process passed through and managed by the of The Great Will, or The Axiom. Or God.

The world is designed for people to wake up, its just made to be extremely difficult for the average person. I dont believe anything is actively trying to prevent us from waking up as there's no benefit in doing so considering so few people are capable.
