The Book of Renewal, Chapter 3
And it came to pass in the latter days, when the land of Columbia, blessed above all nations, stood at a crossroads, that the Lord spake unto the heart of a seer, saying: Behold, I have set this land apart as a beacon of liberty, yet it groaneth under the weight of division and pride.
For the people, once bound by covenant to uphold justice and charity, had turned aside, chasing after the idols of wealth, power, and vain contention. Their cities gleamed with towers of glass, yet their hearts were shadowed by discord, and the cries of the poor ascended to the heavens.
And the Lord said: O Columbia, thou land of promise, why hast thou forgotten the covenant of thy fathers? Did I not lead them across the great waters to establish a nation under heaven, where freedom and righteousness might flourish?
Behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, when the land shall be shaken. The tempests of strife shall test the foundations of thy republic, and the voices of the multitude shall clash as waves upon the shore. Yet, in this trial, I shall raise up voices of wisdom, men and women of humble heart, who shall speak truth and bind up the wounds of the nation.
And it shall come to pass that if the people turn again unto me, seeking unity and compassion, I will pour out my spirit upon them. The deserts of despair shall blossom as the rose, and the cities, once torn by anger, shall become havens of peace.
