'm not a fully spiritual person, yet I do believe in plenty of paranormal stuff and shit like that.

I understand that most spiritual beliefs come from trying to make sense of the unknown or the nonsensical, but are there any beliefs in beings that are truly beyond our understanding, kind of like what Lovecraft wrote about?
And I'm not talking about just gods I'm talking about gods that truly don't care about our existence, or that see us as more of an annoyance than anything.

Lovecraft was a very strong believer in materialism, atheism, rationalism etc he didn't personally believe in any of his literary creations. Not that this is a value judgement on the reality of such strange beings but gor Lovecraft they partially represented a very rational view of the world
