So hear me out...
Yes, there are a lot of mysteries about the pyramids, temples, and other unbelievable stuff. It's hard to believe that ancient Egyptians built it all with primitive tools in more than 2k BC.
That's why I understand when people say the pyramids were built by aliens.
But what if aliens weren’t aliens?
What if they were people from the future?
What if, somehow, humans in the future found a way to communicate — or even travel — to the past? They gave the Egyptians the know-how, and then left.
What was their purpose? That’s another topic...
The human species wants to exist as long as possible. I think that can only happen with a balance between two things:
1. Technological advancement — especially in medicine, which needs progress in every field.
2. Suppression of that advancement — because we all know too much progress leads to doom (AI, nukes, robot takeover, etc.).
There must be an entity in the future that controls both of those forces.
Maybe they gave ancient people just the right amount of technology — at the right moment.
Maybe they also caused some events that *slowed us down*.
That’s why we sometimes feel like there’s a higher power controlling everything.
Maybe they’re doing “bad” things for humanity’s long-term survival.
COVID, for example, suppressed our growth.
Wars in the Middle East — maybe they don’t want *everyone* to advance equally. There always has to be a weak side.
Maybe our future selves made really hard decisions to make sure we don’t self-destruct too soon.
Does this make sense to anyone else?
