Why do I feel weirdly angry whenever people talk about a sense of "overwhelming love/peace" in NDE's? It's a consistent reaction.

Because Exsistence builds degrees of stress and suffering throughout our lives, despite the positives. NDE's are sudden brushes with Non-Existence that show us a reality where the weights all of that are lifted from us. The "peace and love" is just the mind trying to analyze a moment of an almost completely unburdened ego.

I guess it's not that unreasonable... somebody was about to die while you were struggling in this world so when they come back all happy you feel as if they're ignorant to what we're experiencing in this world because they could have died and affected us in a sad way?
