I think I found the biggest reason why people especially here on x dig eastern religions and hate or at least disregard western religions. The question, does it make me happy? Buddhism and Hinduism care about how happy you are. Jesus does not focus on that. That's the main issue, for me personally. What good is a religion that doesn't make you insanely happy and serene? Practicing Hindu meditation for some years has given me such insane amounts of bliss, which Jesus never did. Can a religion that doesn't make you the happiest, be true? Can a religion which makes you happier than all others be untrue? Not the only true religion? I'm not a Hindu. I believe in my own path, which I have found has given me the best bliss. This is the truth. The true path. Christianity cannot be true, it doesn't even make you happier than Hinduism, which promises and actually gives indescribable bliss once mastered. Christianity falls insanely short in this regard. It doesn't matter how righteous or god-fearing you are, if someone who doesn't follow your teaching at all is happier, then you've failed. Am I right or wrong?

The problem is ultimate bliss for christians is only after the beatific vision. And you can't get it until you die. Awesome man. I need to die to be happy. Awesome.

I don't feel it that way at all. If I wasn't western I would have choose buddhism as second option because I think that christianity and it are the best religions seeing their fruits, their understanding of human nature inclined to suffering and the moral value of their respective leaders.
However it is easy and often to feel bliss as well with christianity if you understand it, how to pray, what to read, who to talk to, etc. It's just that it is more reliant on the idea of trusting someone else and their love for you.
I see western prayer and eastern meditation as techniques that you get good at, and both have made me feel bliss.

I know there is being filled with the holy ghost and I think it gives high bliss. I've experienced it slightly. But it doesn't compare to the bliss of meditation.

And the ultimate bliss for buddhists is only in nirvana after you die. In the meanwhile you're in samsara and if you fail at it you get back and need to die another 3000 times before reaching buddhahood and be happy.

Western religions (not counting Jews and dead Jew religions) had a great focus on surviving and finding happiness from life. A warrior prays for strength to die happily fighting, a farmer prays for good crop and happily awaits the rain. Gods would have festivals and happiness tied to worship and sacrifice. Then Jews came along, Christianity supplanted the pagan religions, and finding happiness from life was no longer the focus. Now life is the struggle, and the afterlife is eternal happiness. Struggle and hurt and sadness now directly translated to happiness forever after. If you cannot find happiness and bliss despite religion, I fear you are not finding it because of religion. The Eastern religions are glorified in the West because they are different and exciting. It is a tool Westerners can use to seem exotic, cultured, and well traveled. Most hippie budhist blondes that you meet will never interact with a real monk, few blacks fresh out of prison will travel to Mecca, and any Westerner who claims Shintoism is actually just an incel.

Then you lack insight into the nature of the true unitary god, and how meditation together with true faith in god (unitary god, not christian god) gives you insane bliss and I've felt bliss from prayer but it's small compared to my current bliss and much harder to get. Hinduism gives more bliss than Buddhism.

>the truth is gauged by how happy it makes me

Sorry, you're wrong in this assumption OP - it will lead you astray, because by this metric, sin - which is fun for a season - is fine. It's not.

Jesus want's to lead us out of our miserable sin, to be with Him in paradise, or heaven, forever - if you think you won't be happy in heaven, then I don't know what to tell you.

I don't believe in any sort of revival of muhh payganism. That's gay and impossible since the first people who even created paganism had insight and knowledge which is impossible for the modern man to acquire.

I do not think sin makes you internally happy. I'm talking about deep inside you, how you feel. Right now I feel splendid, truly awesome, and when I tried following christianity, I didn't. Not externally, but internally in my inner being.

The real reasons are less hippie and gay:
1. Western Christianity has been in heavy decadence for the last 70 years after Council Vatican 2, leaving the west open for others to get in including Eastern ortho christianity.
2. Eastern religions are more compatible with the pursuit of magick, which is an interest of people here.
3. 4chan is the weeb central, people get interested in those topics through japanese culture.
4. Reincarnation doctrines get a raise in crisis, decadent times like ours.

All religions are wrong. I think the real God is the most sane but also the most crazy real person there is. He likes entertainment and rewards those who provide it. Hence why the jews dance they think it brings them his blessing. But heโ€™s growing tired of there same old tricks.

Buddhism and Hinduism seem to encourage looking within and seeking truth. Christianity lays it on a plate for you whether you like it or not, and if you don't, you're going to Hell. I don't think Buddhism has a concept of Hell, and you don't even have to really believe or pray to God to practice what Buddha taught.
That's the reasoning for me, I'm sure it's the initial novelty and art that attracts Westerners to Hinduism at first. Also people like George Harrison helped bring it over.

People who are mentally well don't really need religion. The purpose of it is to tell the working class it's fine if they waste their entire existence exerting themselves and suffering endlessly because there's a secret magical eternity place they get to go to after.

Nobody would be filing the 10,000 fax pages into drawers if they knew they're wasting the only existence they'll ever have.

Weak spiritual practice is the most important of these, but I'd also add that frankly, people here are fucking retards. I don't even mean to insult other religions, it's just that very few people bother to actually read the New Testament.
You like magic?
>you will move mountains if you just have faith like a mustard seed
You think the world is shit?
>satan is its ruler
Humans are dumb and evil?
>the greatest things are to not worry and live with love and charity
Jesus says all of these things, but it's not cool or exotic and has spent the last 1000 years being "normal" and when it's normal, it's just kind of weak because "normal" people don't pay close enough attention to actually do it or really understand the implications.

Christianity doesn't reject virtue it rejects the idea that you are merited by them. There is not an amount of generosity that makes you matter more than the fact that God is who ultimately saves you and if it isn't done for him, it isn't virtue. The very nature of rejecting vice/sin is an embrace of the concept of virtue.
