i read the necronomicon once, it's a solid 4/10
most of the "profound universal truths" were really just nothingburgers "Humans are but motes of dust!! and their souls are weak too, or something." how defeatist.
it also seemed like a madman scribbled it out over the course of week.
the pictures of my family members being murdered in gruesome ways just really screamed "im edgy, take me seriously!" and visions of elder gods just honestly not scary.
i would read it again for a book club or something similar, but other than that, it's really not worth your 'esoteric innocence'.

Well it's not really a real book, it's as occult as a Walmart ouija board. I'd recommend taking a look at some of the actual grimoires that inspired it like the key of solomon or similar.

It is actually evident to the initiated that forces beyond us are far superior; it is not defeatist to acknowledge when one is without the strength required to defeat all comers, it is intelligent strategy to choose one's battles wisely. This requires occasionally remembering one's place.

It seems wise, by what you have said, I will look into it.

As an occult adept, I am aware that my body and mind can be overridden at any given moment in ways I cannot attempt to explain to satisfaction.
Just because you can live in the illusion of control does not mean that everyone dealing with higher forces is that lucky.

I have avoided it until now because I thought it was just a silly attempt to give you methods to command spirits, but it seems I was wrong.

Any book that has a love spell in it isnโ€™t that great anon but none the less it was a interesting read, ghost adventures once did one of the gate rituals from the necronomicon.
