Who's to say this is your first life? Who's to say you weren't Asian, white or... a different species entirely. Who's to say you wont be a different race or species next time? Its happened more than once, but black isn't the only color. Sometimes its been other ethnicities such as red skinned indian, or brown skinned indian.
This latest time it happened I asked the one I was with why that was the case, and she said "because we are further out". I don't know what we were further out from exactly, but the dream place was somewhat dark, and it was like we were becoming conscious of the darkness.
