The Illusionist (2006). Starring Edward Norton and Jessica Biel. About a magician and his childhood sweetheart and a chief investigator. And a cucked crown prince who resents the magician.
Oddly, it came out the same year as another magician movie, Christopher Nolan's The Prestige. Like, come on guys, we only need one magician film per year.
Despite its flaws, I have to give the nod to The Illusionist.
