Quoting a single verse out of context is bad enough.
Quoting it from the OT, wherein it is writ for a specific people and a specific time that's in our past, like it's a forecast for our tomorrow is another level of taking His word in vain.
But then you hit the pinnacle of vanity: quoting the singular verse out of context from the OT for the sole purpose of personal gain in the material. For example, being a youtube missionary who promises jubilation and abundance because the OT says so even though that applied to the Kingdom of Israel of 3000 years ago, and putting more of these false witnesses behind a paywall where you continue taking His Word In Vain.
It's the most contemptible part of the NPCs.
