I want to know about tricks, rituals, or any procedure that allows me to repress a traumatic memory as much as possible.

If your answer is "Meditate" or "Face the truth", do not reply to this thread.

Just avoid thinking about it for a while and it should all work out

You can't run from the darkness of your own mind forever. The longer you try, the worse it gets until you are naked and screaming at the shadow elves in times square at 3pm.

Avoid it. Develop PTSD to protect yourself from it.

Worked for me!

That's not how PTSD works.
Trying to protect yourself by "developing PTSD" as you so retardedly put it is like running into CQC warfare naked and unarmed.

I dont knpw what happened, but if it was traumatic enough to make you want to forget it I can understand that. All those scars make you who you are too, they give you your unique perspective, and let you solve problems no one else can see.

I didn’t say “protect yourself from ptsd.” I said “develop ptsd.”

Therapy. The only thing stronger than "forgetting" (which is not possible) is facing it and defeating it.

Observe the memory (and any byproducts of it, thoughts, emotions etc) to such an extend that it doesn't bother you anymore.

play tetris if the memory is recent (if not then play tetris while recalling it), this sounds stupid byt there is real scientific studies backing it up
