I think because of that, the words "destiny" and "fate" are way more accurate, Although it could be argued that they are used to justify (somewhat) meaningless lives of others, to spice their lives up even though it may not be exactly true, i don't think it's particularly set that people will achieve great things if their "fate" demands it, i think it's more of like a loose string to tie all of us together, to interact, to speak, to converse, to cause actions that domino into something bigger, in some cases it may even be controlled by the littlest of actions, to cause something or to steer something, that or all of this is untrue and it's random.
my opinion? Suffering is probably like a way to steer something into a path
