Let's be real, the members of the gov would not try to stop it. If it's possible to speak with the creatures, they would ally with them and betray humanity. If not, they would think about a way to take advantage of the situation to make money and enslave the people even more with fucking laws, all while hiding in underground facilities that costed trillions of your dollars.

But well, here are more things we could try:
- Trap them in quicksand.
- Or use the technology from the Philadelphia Experiment to either melt the monsters in the ground or send them to the future (take that, you fucking people from the future!)
