I was born on june the 24th, since the 23nd I have no energy anymore and I lost any hope in anything. No, as a kid I was always happy and very excited when summer came. Also I was happy to grow up. I started to be sad every year once an adult I guess. I mostly don't remember my teenage years because of a memory loss I had years ago. Just like you I let everybody go away. I never celebrate my birthdays, they're just normal days except I get older. Maybe it's just simply that, maybe I just regret not being a happy child anymore, after all.

29th here, nurturing energy my ass. I do my best to pretend my birthday's another day but I can't help but fucking hate it. I've heard of birthday anxiety or depression before, but for some reason I've only known early Cancers to get it. Sad, tired, and hopeless, well put.

I think for me it was less me being happy when I was younger and more me being ignorant. Or maybe I just had the long holiday to look forward to instead of just the same as it ever was. Slowly, though, as I grew up, it got worse and worse. I mean, I'm depressed all the time, but it's waaaay worse from early-June to early-July.

Weirdly, I also have the bad habit of letting friends just drift away, and I also have general memory loss of my teenage years. It's weird synchronicities like that that make me think there is something to all this shit. Either way, anon, know you're not alone, whether that be any solace or not.
