Kind of actually, the pastor I learned Christianity from is very insistent that Jesus is the only name that will save you and Yeshua and all variations of that are wrong.
His reasoning being that the KJV translation committee (which was huge and way over qualified btw, seriously, it's nuts) was not only well.....way more qualified than schizos online but they debated on every line's possible "best" translation.
So yes, it's Jesus with a J from what I heard.

This is only tangentially related, but I remember hearing on some conspiracy talk show an old German lady talking about how Hitler's Mein Kampf wasn't written by him, it was originally written in English and then translated into German and sold as his book. Your pastor clearly didn't read the Bible. Jesus specifically says that the exact words of any prayer never matter because God knows your heart and intentions. If your intention is to seek redemption from God's resurrected Son, He knows and won't hold the words against you.
