Do you believe they can commune with the dead? If you do, do you think there's a limit to what the afterlife is allowed to say? For example if your gamily goes to one are they just allowed to out you and give messages saying "he needs to stop gooing, he jerks off to renamon from a japanese cartoon called digimon" or does it have to be super vague like "your family member is struggling with addiction"? If they divulge too much does it cross some kind of code that isn't allowed?

But there are also ghosts who remain longer at the astral plane, especially the ones who have a grudge against some still living people. They want to haunt them and won't let go of the life they had. Being reborn means oblivion, all the memories and experiences from your life are gone.

A lot of mediums are fake, especially the ones that make it their identity and throw it in your face. I didn't really fuck with them and thought it all to be chicanery and pop-psychology until I met a real one by accident. If you're lucky enough to meet a real one they will change your perception of reality with their abilities, and those abilities are 100% given to them it can't be trained. You can filter real mediums from charlatans pretty quickly. Real mediums dont view their abilities as a gift, its a nuisance to them or an unfortunate responsibility. Its disruptive to their life to have dead people constantly showing up and hearing things that others cant hear. It can cause them psychological distress. The charlatans will talk all day about how its a gift, a talent, or that theyre special because of it. And its because they dont have the ability, because they don't have to live every second of every day with the dead randomly showing up in their kitchen while theyre trying to cook, or bedroom when theyre trying to go to sleep, they fake ones dont see mangled children walk into their living room when they're just trying to chill out after work. And so to them its a "gift" and not disturbing like the actual ability is.
Real mediums can identify other real mediums. They're usually pretty quiet about it in general because they're afraid of being labelled as crazy. But when they come across each other they have this uncanny ability to know that each other can see and hear the other side. And when they see and hear the other side they actually do, its not an intuitive thing they can see a dead person in the room or hear the person speaking to them.
Hope you get to meet a real medium anon, because when you do it changes your perspective on a lot of things. I feel blessed for meeting the one that I did, she's changed my life for the better, even if she doesn't view it that way.

There was a time where the collective unconscious was such that there was no real spiritual "elite" or special folks who are in touch with the spirit realm. If you want answers, seek them yourself.
