Better than 12 layers of tinfoil (not to be confused with ALUMINUM - actual TIN) is brass, tungsten, and lead (easiest and safest s radio-opaque lining suchas those used as X-ray mats)
Also need some layers of aluminum foil. Bismuth can add to the freedom if you know what you are doing with it.
This is a replacement for ferriday cage that may be cheaper than it at your local hardware store.
All can be purchased online; not sure how to do the bismuth but the others should work to jam electronic warfare and prevent electronic harassment.
