I know this subject has been discussed at length here on this board, but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone has experienced anything strange in regards to the perceived population density in your local areas.
I live in the Midwest US, and there is no fucking way that many of the cities in my area have the population density that is claimed. Many areas of the Midwest are packed to absurd levels, traffic as bad as Atlanta or other cities, yet the official stats say that there should only be a fraction of the people needed to generate such traffic.
Recently, right after the Iran conflict started, the number of people in the area I have lived in (decently sized city) has dropped to almost half. Even during rush hours, the amount of people on the road has been a fraction of what it had been previously.
I know its kind of a bland post, but I know other anons have made effort-posts and have dug up info on this phenomena.
