I think we should try not to die, and bring everyone that was cool back to life later if we can, and if the total amount of mass we have access to allows. We might have to start budgeting and only let extra cool people come back to life though. If we can't do these things than your argument is very compelling.

We all die one day, but our eternity begins from there on. Everything will be magnified in eternity, it is our true nature. But it will be either freedom in Heaven or torment in Hell. Due to our naturally sinful nature, demons and fallen angels/small gods can claim us for an eternity of torment. Because they absolutely hate us, due to God having made us in his image and because we have chance to replace them in divine hierarchy, if we stay faithful to Jesus. But that is beside the point.
Only through Jesus, sincere repentence and being born again in Holy Spirit, we are free and inherit eternal life.
There are benefit in this life as well, and we are called to love each other as we love ourselves and God above all.
But real reason is that our eternity is at stake here. Satanists, atheists, and so forth, try to paint God as a giant jealous bully. He is not. He is our Father.
Satan is a bully and cosmic sadist, (being a fallen angel occupying his eternity to hurt human animals) and being fallen angel, he and his cohorts have observed us from birth to death to conceived as horrific torments for us in his eternity as he can, if he can claim us for himself! We can see these in various NDE's.
So, choose Jesus and through him, God., It is not a game. Choosing Jesus sincerily is like signing cheque for a Get Out of Hell card. Because we need to check-in free salvation offered to us, use our free will in this. It is long road, being christian, and not easy, but it is our only hope. Choose Jesus now. For many those who are dead, it is too late, but not for us who yet live! Take care and have a good weekend! Jesus loves you.
