Can a Christian practice hemisync or does it count as an occult practice? I've seen angels, aliens, demons during hemisync and would like to try it again but I fear sinning. ChatGPT said it is sinning if you're trying to contact spirits with it but I was curious what /x/ thinks? Aliens in particular I think are neutral and interesting to contact. I had a dream about a grey alien smiling at my bedside after a hemisync session.

It's a neat tool to synchronize both halves of your brain.
A tool is only as great as the person who wields it.

Gateway is an excellent tool to access the astral plane through manipulation of your consciousness. However the practices it oulines, the Focus steps, are very limited to certain things and the pledge is just hippy nonsense.

My view is that hemisync is a synthesis of earlier occult teachings updated with a modern view of 'physics' and how consciousness works. The medieval grimoires exhort you to 'inflame thyself with prayer', inhale burning incense, meditate for hours on sigils and pentacles, all to achieve a heightened state, much like gateway.

Combine gateway with hermetic principles and magic. Use the tables of correspondence, elements, angels, etc along with the tapes as part of your visualisation process as these are ingrained in the collective conscious. You can combine gateway with sigil working, evocation, divination, astral projection etc. Someone should really write a book about this - extended gateway.

How about you ask one of the ascended masters during your next session? Modern christianity is so far off the mark it might as well be fiction. The angels and demons you see aren't those in the biblical sense. They are positive and negative energy entities. You can still speak to the negative entities and many are fairly polite. Objectively bad things can still have relevant points of view.
