What is going on in this place? Are the stories linked to the land true?

If you accept the geoglogic record - then the appalachians are one of if not the oldest mountain ranges on the planet and were at one time higher than the himalayas.

Something can't be around for that long without holding a lot of really deep and dark secrets.

100% of stories are not 100% true, but yeah. I imagine the whole world is like that too, but I'm not well-traveled.

I saw this girl’s video on Facebook years ago. Got very few views but was on a hiking group’s page. This girl and her girlfriend went hiking on the Ap trail and decided to stop for the night to pitch tent and all of a sudden this man pops up out of nowhere and yells to them, “Watch out for the duende!” One of the girls knew what that was, and the other girl was like, “What’s a duende?!” They got so spooked by the encounter, that they decided to pack up their tent and move on down the trail to find another place to set up tent for the night. They have this whole encounter captured on video which I saw.

I live here. These mountains are so old we don't have fossils because they are older than bones as a thing.

The Scottish Highlands and Atlas Mountains in North Africa are literally the same mountain chain as Appalachia.

I live in 'em too. I added that preface about the geologic record primarily because... well, this is /x/ post-christfag invasion after all and let's not even start about those monkeys with their flat earth psyop.

I will add however that I personally have found fossils - but not bones. One time when I was younger playing in a stream with a friend we found a fossil of a prehistoric sea plant.

It's just internet folklore.
Youtube retards explode it out of proportion like scp, the backrooms or even HP lovecraft.
