Chances are if you were a GATE kid you were either attempted to be recruited for whatever need they had at the time, they would have followed you and "guided" you toward the "correct" paths which would resolve with far too little effort on your part until you were in their clutches OR you were one of the children they tried breaking and they were keeping tabs on you to monitor the later effects.

Dave McGowan's 'Programmed to Kill' book is a great listen when I do farm work. I'm truly not smart enough to connect the dots but it's a great starting point for all the MK ULTRA/Phoenix Program along with the rise of serial killers and now spree killers.
It lays a bunch of info out and connects dots for those smart enough to complete the puzzle.

I'd be skeptical to assume if such a program exists, it's probably managed by an entity controlling a multitude of proxies for management, and that they move you around based off interests and whatever else. I'm sure handlers are reassigned frequently. There's no way if this exists that it doesn't have a robust management engine underneath.

Maybe it's because in normal school, you just had your classes. A few hours a day for every topic. In gate programs, you had what amounts to "missions" as well as daily cognitive practice and other weird shit.
