Palmistry and face reading are pretty practical. You get to practice every day with hundreds of people.
For palmistry some of the best ive read are ernst isberner haldane and beryl hutchinson.
Face reading is more complicated. The books ive read on mien xiang(chinese face reading) are kinda messy and dont really explain the why. They just throw data at you like "if a girl has a mole on the lower part of the cheek shell get her boyfriend stolen". Like just these random ass predictions with no explanation as to the mechanics behind it. You can start with 3 (the step by step path) and read the others (+Book of Sitra Achra: A Grimoire of the Dragons of the other Side) as "side books; compendiums for stuff".
LF3 is the book presenting a focused direct "step by step system".

LF2 is more of a "puzzle book with a lot of "whimsical at times stuff" that's meant to be decyphered by tagging along in puzzles in said book; ie loads of stuff not meant to be taken at face value"
