Can you contact someone you've lost recently or after a while? Through meditation, astral plane, mansion in the heaven, matrix, the white light etc.? Are they with the Creator of the Universe, the Source, the Father, facing Yaldabaoth? Dump your theories or beliefs.

There are packets of encode between dead people and the living.
There are methods to get viable communication via a consciousness/sensory organs interrupt system.

The Universe has pre-baked pings, between the dead and the living.

You can contact, especially during dreams, but it may take some time until the positive spirituality sees that both of you are emotionally ready for this contact, and although you may not remember the encounter very well, you will feel differently afterwards.
In fact, whenever you think about a person who has passed to the other side, you send them the emotions you're feeling, and they can hear your thoughts and prayers :)
