They probably cringe whether or not you talk to yourself. Also, they're not human so they don't view things the same way a human would, so you talking to yourself would probably not be weird to them.

Those Jinn or demons don't feel as we humans do instead they feed on our negative feelings. So when you feel watched you actually get spiritually drained. Just ignore them and they will go away hunting your neighbor.
Also calling on Saint Michael or in whatever spirit you believe helps.
