Not that anon, but i fear the notion of my identity and sense of self being dissolve or wipe post death and I think my consciousness and my sense of self is the greatest gift ever and I don't want to lose it after i die or ever. I wish to build upon it and keep it forever.

By losing your life you gain it.
Let the natural man die and be reborn a spiritual bean with eternal life.
Alternatively, if you can't do that for whatever reason, you need to take an unwinnable situation and make it winnable.
That means letting go of the part of you that fears getting wiped. Not wishing for it and not pursuing it, but accepting it as a possible outcome that you can find acceptable.
An internal transformation that will require some pondering as you solve that riddle for yourself and develop good thinking habits to reinforce it until it is your new nature, not fear.

That's a hard one.
You're going to have to forgive the source of your trauma, all of them, including yourself if necessary.
Find the silver lining, what did you learn?
If you didn't learn anything, maybe it's time to.
Once you've forgiven all parties including God/the Universe/yourself/ etc and turn as much of the bad good by seeking the silver lining, your mind will transform the trauma into something you'll be ok with and can be at peace with.

The more you love others, even those who don't deserve it and the more you forgive the more innocent and "childlike" your appreciation of things can be.
It's all in the mind, intentionally think light thoughts until it's a habit and your whole life will be filled with light no matter what happens or what you've had to do to get there.
Life's just poopy sometimes, but there's always a silver lining somewhere, even if you gotta dig it's there. Plus like....it's not like we can stop being us just because something bad happens.
No reset button and that's a good thing because we'd all be mashing it.

Out of curiosity, what drove you to think there's meaning in all of this? I have been caught in existencialism lately and I'm thinking: what if there's no meaning?

It could be that this is just random chaos and we have been cursed with consciousness and reason and have to live in this chaotic world. Because even if the Adam and Eve story is real, then how could we explain the fact that animals were vicious and cruel way before they were even created?

Here's how I see it, God is Schrodinger's Cat.
You can believe it's random chaos or that it's ordered by a God who loves you and never contradict reality and venture into delusion territory.
So in a universe like ours where it's uncertain you can choose.
Do you want to believe it's random chaos and get nothing and never be proven right conclusively?
Or
Do you want to believe it's all controlled and ordered intentionally by a loving God and get psychological benefits?
To me, it's a no brainer, I cultivate the belief as much as I can because it's beneficial to my subjective experience of reality.
I can never determine the "objective" reality completely so it's all about my subjective experience.
As a result, anecdotally, subjectively, I am experiencing heaven on Earth and I didn't have to contradict reality or any religion, I just had to believe and think.
I wouldn't trade it for all the money on earth and it was free, which means just by choosing to believe, I gained something of infinite wealth.
But even if you don't believe me, you will get some kind of benefit vs no benefit at all.

Is real easy to solve but the solution sounds heartless and alien to someone who's not "there" yet.
God is all powerful and all knowing.
Nothing can happen that he couldn't stop or cause with no effort and no way to detect him.
So, if God is real, everything is intentional and his will.
How can accidents and ailments be God's will when they hurt us and appear evil?
Because they're not evil and they serve the greater good.
See, any time you disagree with someone who knows everything while knowing nothing, you can only ever be arguing in ignorance.
So I don't even need to know the reason why.
I don't need to know what's doing it.
Be it spirits or people or chance or God directly, God cosigned it all so it's ok that it happened.
I don't celebrate bad things happening, but just thinking like this makes everything way more tolerable and does not contradict reality in even the smallest way.

To be honest, not by being Guts. Many idolize Guts while forgetting that Berserk is supposed to be a cautionary tale. It is Guts continuous inheritance of trauma that pushes him further away from his loved ones. Seek inner balance, seek inner peace, seek discipline, practice your craft consistently, seek to learn and read books. Here you will find real power. All that power won't do you any good if you don't have the mental strength to control it like how Guts is unable to control the Hound of Darkness.

this is what I mean. A quick movie flashes through my mind of a dark shadow pulling a friend off of a roof. Next week, friend has a broken leg and is using crutches. tells me he fell off his roof. I catch glimpses, but I obviously want to get rid of whatever this is on a practical level.

How do you think berserk is going to end??

It might be spiritually beneficial to discuss. It also might not be but I'd like to hear your ideas.

1. clean diet (no liquor/pleb shit food)
2. mastery of mind and thoughts and body (yoga, meditation, memory palaces, working out)
3. daily devotional practices (prayer)
4. reewiring your mind with daily reading of holy texts
5. only sacred sounds go into your ears
6. only sacred images go into your eyes
7. learning the system of occult correspondence
