I know a lot of people don't remember this case because feds did a really good job covering it up, but this mystery is too interesting to die.

On /int/ people with the flag of a nation named "Portoia" would post in zalgo text, but the threads got deleted. Some faggot made a playlist with Portoia in the name but it isn't related in the slightest.

Some people said it was a troll, others said it was anons from another world. Someone even said it was a country in the Mediterranean that went missing in the 70s. I have been obsessing over this mystery for the past few weeks, and I still don't have enough evidence to figure out what the posts were.

UPDATE: I found some lore saying it was an unkown Island near Iceland in WW2. Some other stuff I've found was it might be named Portoya or Portagé.

I think i remember hearing about some flags on /int/ and /pol/ being from countries that don't exist but i couldn't tell you much more after that. I don't use /int/ or /pol/ and i barely use /x/ as it is. I did some more digging on desu archive and there are two more things I found: A Russian claiming he talked to someone from there (could be bs) and another claim saying it was a Nazi base between the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
