Happy 4th of July. Would you like to participate in an experiment to test latent remote-viewing capabilities in the general population?
The procedure is as follows:
- I have two pre-selected objects, A and B
- Tomorrow at 5:00 PM Central (24 hours from now), one of these objects will be selected by a random process outside my control
- I will post a picture to this thread of the object that is selected by that process
- A different pair of objects will be chosen for the following day, with no repeats throughout the experiment
- The process will continue for two weeks, concluding Friday, July 18th
If you want to contribute, your part in this experiment is simple.
All you need is a piece of paper (ideally standard letter paper, for consistency), something to write with, and a short time to sit, think, and write, with no distractions.
Sometime this evening, sit with your paper and try to visualize the object in the picture that will be posted to the thread tomorrow at 5:00. Write down any impressions about the object that cross your mind. These impressions might be a single word, a full sentence, or even a small sketch. Only write down impressions that you feel pertain to the object specifically, and try not to dwell too long on this—take 5 minutes at the most. Then, post a picture or scan of your paper to this thread.
The window for submissions closes at 2:00 AM Central (9 hours from now), and will close at the same time for the next two weeks. Again, the window for predictions pertaining to the next day's object will run the 9 hours between 5:00 PM and 2:00 AM each day.
Submissions will be assessed by an independent party who will score it as indicating object "A," object "B" or "Inconclusive." The scores will be assigned before either object is randomly selected to be posted, by the manner previously discussed. Tabulated scores and results will be shared at the end of the experiment.
