The most recent gods all seem hell bent on politics and control. None are devoted to the grace of the flower, the fierceness of the sea, the glory of the candle's dying flame. Its all aggressive and all encompassing vagueness plus seven thousand layers of "trust me bro Im the real deal everything else is bullshit" and that just sound like the fakest shit ever.

I recently noticed just how much natural occurrences such as rain seem to capture my whole undivided attention, or a bonfire, or the clouds moving, it's like those old gods speak to me in a language I don't understand, but it transcends language, the raindrops patterns, the lingering flames, the ever changing clouds riding the wind, even the way trees dance with the wind
