Hello /x/
I have diagnosed ASPD which limits my ability to experience empathy or assign myself strong moral or other values. I do, however, believe in God. In the majority of religious and esoteric traditions, love, kindness for others, don't resonate with me. It's difficult for me to resonate with, for example, the Christian approach of loving one's neighbour when I cannot attribute any value to it; more often than not I only do things for others if I derive benefit from it.

What do - if anyone has any suggestions on spiritual direction.

I'm not sure, but loving your neighbour sounds like simply treating him as you would reasonably want to be treated by him if you switched places.

That's what I've been doing where possible but it does feel (and logically is) limiting when surveying various literature. I've never been able to truly be "converted" to anything

I am just messing with you, man
You are fine
You should try to approach things with other eyes. When you care for people you will be always winning. If people see you as a caring person they will be more likely to like you and help you in times of need.

Being kind is always a benefit. That's why most people have these feelings... Humans are supposed to work together! You will benefit from it too. Try to look at it objectively...

feelings don't mean anything, actions do. you just lack oxytocin so you don't care about people. whatever. as long as you act well towards others it's actually like you're doing a challenge mode, it's very meritorious. you don't have to have good feelings to be a good person.

>*psychopath traits and immoral outlook*
Yeah, you aren't a horrible person because you're diagnosed with some kind of autism. You're a shitbag for your lack of humanity and immoral outlook on life. Don't put that on the rest of us, because even those of us with a similar diagnosis aren't like you. Your best solution is to keep that stuff to yourself and don't tell everyone you're a piece of shit.

People think they're supposed to just feel things
That it is a gift given to them

Many people suffer
It is like a woman who is naive to struggle
The world is mostly bad with a small light
It is strangled day by day and held up by good men in responsibility

ASPD isn't autism
It's Antisocial Personality Disorder
Which is the closest disorder to psychopath in the DSM. 2/3 of people diagnosed with it are confirmed psychopaths.

So you can understand zero sum games crystal clear but is basically a dumbfuck blind when the game is nonzero sum?
Take a rational approach to nonzero sum games, learn to play it.
That's it.

Well for one thing stop believing that you have ASPD and just admit you are selfish and running from something internally so put up so many walls that not even a blade of grass can break through.
You cut off your emotions then went
>why don't I feel?
Deal with your shit or become the thing you hate. Your choice.

>you aren't a horrible person
I never said I was. I said that within the confines of religious tradition and their teachings I am in-congruent.
>diagnosed with some kind of autism.
Reeks of projection.
>You're a shitbag for your lack of humanity and immoral outlook on life.
Low tier bait.
>Don't put that on the rest of us.
I didn't - read the OP. You are projecting.
>because even those of us with a similar diagnosis aren't like you.
"People with ASPD may have a limited capacity for empathy and can be more interested in benefiting themselves than avoiding harm to others."
>Your best solution is to keep that stuff to yourself and don't tell everyone you're a piece of shit.
Learn to read, anon, this doesn't answer my query about religious or spiritual tradition. You're projecting your own autism kek.
>>40666684
Doesn't answer the question at hand - what does this have to do with solving the religious/esoteric issue here?
>>40666766
No, always been this way. Never taken any medication and live in a country with sane regulations on food (before any of you retards start harping on about it).

OP indicates I have tried. See (>>40666204). You are an illiterate monkey.
>just admit you are selfish
See: "I cannot attribute any value to it; more often than not I only do things for others if I derive benefit from it." First post of the thread.
>running from something internally so put up so many walls
I am not running from anything - I've not had any traumatic or otherwise brutal experiences that caused my diagnosis. I have been this way since I was born.
>You cut off your emotions
Have always been this way lol.
>Deal with your shit or become the thing you hate. Your choice.
Monkey response.

You understand that you can see even religion, as other social dynamics, as a game? And that if you dominate the technicality of you "not caring about others" you can WIN even these kind of nonzero sum games, and that in the long run that benefits YOU too?

If anything you have an advantage. Too many religions, wannabe religions, and posers (most everybody on this board) claim to have empathy and inevitably betray that claim in one way or another. Emotions (which are not the same as convictions) typically just cloud the truth, especially in esoteric measures. God just wants real friends, and dogmatic types come off as extremely fake to him. As for being kind, >>40666187 explains it pretty well. Just be you, that's enough :)

You have to force love
And when you're responsible you will feel it
Sacrifice yourself. Love is a living sacrifice.
Take up your cross
Bear your burden for others
Give up what you have in excess to help others

Its difficult to tell sometimes because , I do feel like mordern culture can kind of exarcerbate symtombs of this.
But at they say time moder culture does really depend on its hidden sides.

OP can I ask , have you ever felt big love or apriciation for something.

At the end of the day , I do think society has a lot of religios belives you might have piked up on even if they praise secularism , but knowing the details is difficult.
You get me OP , or do I sound like a schitzo?
