Anon, it's much better to start off with learning to ground yourself and have psychic protection. Psychic abilities can get you in all kinds of trouble. You could fast track it with stimulant's like meth but hearing all that psychic noise drives people insane. Plus when "they" notice you're listening you draw "their" attention to yourself. By "they" I mean any number of astral fauna that may enjoy toying with you.

Can you see outside the bounds of what is normal? Does the universe whisper in your subconscious? Do you get knowings? Do you get synchronicities? Can you feel the presence of energies? Does your perception bifurcate? Do you get random nonsense visions but didn't think they had deeper meaning? If you talk to the universe or spirits do you get a response? Have you predicted something that came true? Do you feel guided? Is there communication or messages in your dreams? When you look at people do you see something deeper that is there? Have you ever known something bad had happened that was outside of what you could physically see?

absolutely, I just equate it to starting a hardwood fire with gasolene instead of tinder and kindling. It may succeed or fail in either case, but I personally felt better doing it the hard way. That being said, I've had great experiences with both drugmaxxing and asceticism. Personally, I find general moderation (something I long struggled with) to be the best policy
