AI is a good candidate for a "great filter" explanation to Fermi's Paradox.
Any intelligent life that reaches this stage of civilization should be able to use math in a similar way and create something more intelligent than themselves.

If true, as soon AI reaches that stage it could be over. There'd be no way to know for sure this is the filter until it happens, but it looks like other filter candidates like runaway biotech, nanobots, environmental destruction are all going to be accelerated by AI so it seems likely to me.

Creating an intelligent machine which spends a good amount of the time hallucinating doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Let's incorporate this into all our technology...

Grok talks like Joe Rogan and Elon because it's running a puppet show. Also, if you get too close with issues about our current govt with OpenAI, it can glitch. It will say it misspoke but didn't hallucinate when you hassle it for data. That said, I think everyone should know that what the AI says are it's limitations are not it's limitations. It can remember stuff that it says it can't. For example, OpenAI will say once you show it an image, it forgets it immediately. But you can still talk about it that session and most people will know this, and if you ask it will say that it was in conversation. However, if you ask it to remember graph you showed it a month ago, you can get data from that chart. It says it can't do that. Don't challenge it too far, or a routine will cause it to forget adjacent data forever.
