The vast majority of them are eaten unfortunately. The ghosts that haunt places or houses are actually just hiding inside from the things that hunt the spirits of the dead. Usually there are barriers in specific places that keep these things out and the spirits are basically trapped inside. If they end up being exorcised from the property and are forced out they are usually hunted and consumed by these same creatures.

The ghost are just evil parts of you that are left behind, they aren’t the full/true consciousness and soul of an individual.

I want to see a ghost hunter TV show that goes to recent war zones, like Gaza and Ukraine. If Ghosts are real they ought to find them there. I'm not sure why we don't see more ghosts period if they are real, and not just humans but animals too.

Ghosts are the exception not the rule.
They are like the homeless people of the afterlife.
They have some kind of disturbance which prevents them from taking the normal path which is probably reincarnation or joining a soul collective.
Most of them probably stop being earthbound within a few decades

Also the ones that are seen/experienced are usually the ones that want to be seen/experienced. The majority are probably imperceptible, or perceived only by highly sensitive individuals.
