Hard to interact with the gods while you're interacting with people. And the stage of discovery would be weird with someone around if they weren't feeling what you were. They might even call it mental illness.

Pic reminds me of the bittersweet receipt of revelations, in that you're glad it's happening but it's really hard to handle. I'm a badass and teared up a few times. Wouldn't recommend to everyone!

The other day I heard a voice whisper into my ears "don't worry." It felt like it came from either inside my head or directly behind my head. I'm still not sure if it really happened. But since I kind of needed that reassurance I'm taking it

I'm not sure Aphrodite ever actually talked to me. She may have, or I was just imagining it, but it's usually bodily sensations, sometimes she appears in my mind's eye, and things occur to me out of nowhere. I think my "employment" is complete but it was intense for a few weeks.

You need a support network ideally for stabilization and grounding. Isolation makes you more vulnerable, but solitude also helps to focus and process. When starting out your senses arent that sharp and daily stuff drowns it easily. Later on it's doable to deal with it but stuff always can creep through. People can quickly stigmatise you, which in a way is weird because most of those same people never came to earth to have spiritual journeys or they abandoned them at some point.

You often need help when dealing with it, but the right kind of help.

Isolation kills you and drives you insane very quickly, it is the worst torture a human can be put through. However, interacting with NPCs also drives you insane just not as quickly. Interacting with real people strengthens your connection and is required to live a healthy life. Choose your friends well.
