Christians online keep saying that new age practices and witchcraft are actually demonic, and that by engaging in them I'm opening myself up to demons. Is that true?

>Christians online keep saying that new age practices and witchcraft are actually demonic,
There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, the Holy Bible.

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem: But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.

For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever.

And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

And he set a carved image, the idol which he had made, in the house of God, of which God had said to David and to Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen before all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name for ever. 2 Chronicles 33:1-7, the Holy Bible.

And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. Acts 16:16-18, the Holy Bible.

Their point is moot. Why wouldn't you want to consort with all sorts of spirits, demons included? Don't live in fear like christcucks.

>Why wouldn't you want to consort with all sorts of spirits, demons included?
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 14:12, the Holy Bible.
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. 1 Samuel 15:23, the Holy Bible.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23, the Holy Bible.

>Don't live in fear like christcucks.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7, the Holy Bible.
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Matthew 5:30, the Holy Bible.

"Yes, but." All of spirituality is dangerous, including Christianity. Christians just don't realize it because they don't understand their own holy book. Don't try to summon demons, don't go looking for trouble. Even certain types of meditation can be risky. Information itself can harm you, because there are truths you might regret learning.

>the beginning of knowledge
is picking up a book and studying things through a rational process, lest we would have stayed fools combing the desert. Experimention is part of that, so would the Lord be so poor to think lowly of a curious mind and honest heart? Is a biologist not praise worthy for knowing the natural world intimately? Would the same not exist for nonphysical study? In a safe and guided fashion?

At the very least it beats clubbing other tribes to death over a mudflat.

And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Read the Book of Enoch if you want to see one possible origin for most occult/New Age stuff. Not part of the canon in most churches now, but interesting. If true, there are good reasons to avoid all of that stuff.

no. 99% of christians can't even be bothered to follow the teachings of Christ. They're certainly in no position to condemn anything or anyone to hell.

Also hell isn't real.

I want follow up on OPโ€™s question about hairsplitting issues regarding โ€œdivinationโ€. Plainly, the ban on the invocation of spirits includes objectively dangerous practices such as Ouija boards and other spells by retards trying to get a thrill out of the underworld. Yet Astrology to Aquinas was seen as a potentially ok as a science of nature, but not as a form of the divination. In the middle ground there is tarot, which is unnatural in its assessment of the world but does not (by name) invoke spirits. So what do you do?
Also am a practicing Catholic so this bizarre meta argument stuff is important

Then that would imply Jesus Christ did new age practices as well, (New testament) and thats why demons like satan approached him, everyone is open to demons, but it's up to them to close them off, and shut them down
Those christians online need to read the bible more

Not that anon, but yes.
When God "put" Man in the Garden of Eden, He did it so Man could develop himself with ideal conditions, this including any superior power.
When the Serpent presented Knowledge to the couple, It did knowing they weren't prepared to that knowledge at that point.
God seeing what the Serpent have done expelled it.
Also expelled the the Couple so through their bloodline the Saviour would make redeemption of the Serpent, if the Serpent humble itself and accept the Salvation.

Of course. Some forms of meditation are "meant" to make you suggestive and open to whatever wants to sway you. That could be your own negativity, or some outside entity making suggestions that feel like your own thoughts. Perhaps even more dangerous for the curious meditative seekers of truth is something known as "prelest", a false feeling, where you believe you're making spiritual "progress", when in actuality you are sliding backwards into pride and self-delusion. This can be influenced through outside forces aswell.

It's hard enough to seperate your own will from your inner voice, shit, how many people have figured out what their own will is? Some forms of meditation will absolutely be dangerous to anyone who doesn't know themselves. If you believe in nothing you'll fall for anything.

Regarding "outside" forces, well, demons or other "entities" are real, as are other people trying to influence you through spiritual means.

>>40676431

Why shouldn't we fear them? They are completely alien, most with unknown motivations, unknown purposes/functions, and unknown abilities. They are beyond our (mankind as a whole) ability to study and understand (at this time, if ever). Sure, someone somewhere has gleaned useful information. Why would I ever engage with something that I cannot kill? What i mean by this is; why would I engage with something that doesn't have the same metaphorical "skin in the game" as me?

not sure if demons are real
the dynamic of just namecalling someone demon possessed to discard their opinion, do tribal signaling, do fearmongering and create peer pressure is extremely dishonest, tyrannical and deeply anti-intellectual in the worst possible way

so my answer is: no it's not true, and the claim is fearmongering for social control

The online is moving the ethical lines wildly because it's handlers are looking for something or applying pressure to the few remaining humans.
As you climb the ladder of consciousness there will eventually be a point where colors go away and everything is very black and white. Some internet bugs claim to know where black and white is and just try to uproot others' traditions to honor their own.
You can let them uproot the superstition that came from our grandmother's but dont let them twist the kjv

A lot of people forget that magic was a gift from God to king Solomon the Wise as a measure of the covenant.
The Bible describes diviners as "those who seek to undermine the will of God"

It is written that, man, abusing the power of King Solomon's seals, were corrupted, and as a sign he gave dominion over the seals to Satan, known as a "master of magic", and that those who would attempt to undermine the will of God again, would instead find themselves servant to Satan.

Tldr; Biblically speaking, Jew magic like kabbalah or using divination to try and change fate will get you possessed but other things like "white" magic are fine
