The self is a twin, really a Caduceal entity. The Sun is the un-scathed portion and the Moon is the damaged portion (the left Eye of Horus that must be reconstituted as Osiris, dismembered by Set must be re-assembled to "re-member" and re-become Horus sound in both eyes).

If the separation is too great in a love-neglecting soul the energy is more and more out of balance. Finally there comes a point of separation, after which the fire is cut off ('isf-t, the Ancient Egyptian term for evil) from the light soul and the individualization — no longer in harmonious symbiosis — faces extinction and dissolution.

The purpose of the Lion Path is to bring the fire strand near enough to the unmanifest light strand, so that they can become a truly functional and interactive unit again. That is what undoing the "fall", or separation from love, means.

If the fallen portion cuts itself off from the unfallen portion ('isf-t) the soul finally is split so far apart that it cannot reconstitute itself, even though to reach the power of Grace unaided.

But by therapeutic intervention the combined power of God/dess can reform and heal the fallen part. If this cannot be done, the soul loses its individualizing portion and the unfallen pattern awaits another but different chance for individualization.

No, God is near to the brokenhearted. Read Pslam 23, that's a good one.

God causes all the brokenheartedness himself.

>Can enduring an extreme enough personal tragedy alter your psychic structure
Yes trauma alter personalities.
but this is not necessarily bad.
Trauma can just mean your current understanding of reality (where your current psyche is build on) gets broken or challenged enough to throw you into confusion.
With these foundations shaken the psyche is influenced too.

> permanently sever you from love/goodness
I doubt just one bad experience can permanently sever anyone from ever loving again.
But it is not unlikely that in processing that bad experience a conscious decision is made to not risk falling in love again or deeming love "not worth it" or become cynical about these things or give up on it.

The question of goodness is another and more philosophical topic entirely.
What is goodness? is there even objective goodness?
Opinions on this differ a lot and are hugely a matter of personal feelings/aesthetics and/or beliefs

And anon, you seem a bit sad and distressed.. so take your time in processing what you experienced, be good to yourself and don't forget to just be and enjoy life as often and as long as you want and can.

Is Satan more powerful than God? Anything Satan does it's because God lets him, which means God is doing it if you follow the chain of power. God is the highest power in the universe you know.

God doesn't violate anyone's free will. You can't blame the police for not arresting people for precrime.

The police aren't omnipotent beings who know what will actually happen for 100% sure. God is. Better yet, why doesn't God just not create people once he knows they will become rapists, murderers etc?

If your tragedy is still personal you do not know real tragedy yet.

Those people still have a part to play in the story. The resurrection happened in part because of Judas' betrayal. If there was zero possible good that would come about from someone's existence I do not know if such a person would be born.

Yes and no. They say you never step into the same river twice, but the Amazon is also still the same river it was yesterday.

>...and permanently sever you from love/goodness?
Permanence is a word and a concept. Does permanence exist when your memory is finite? What about when your perception is finite?

A lie some people tell themselves subconsciously is that there is only one infinity.

The whole argument is playing with shadows on the wall, but you could have just said "God created Satan" and called it a day. Nothing much more needs to be said. All this abstraction you people do with these finger puppets has nothing to do with God.

I doubt it would be permanent. Anything that's been broken can be rebuilt again in some way, shape, or form. Maybe not perfectly, but definitely rebuilt again. Take care, friend, and please get some epic Sunlight too. Good luck and thanks
