>something like 20% of porn site hidden links go to it.
>barebones web design
>"By using this website, I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority."
>nothing even remotely obscene on there
>just an asteroids ripoff where you "win" at 100 points and that must have taken like 20 minutes to program
>no ads on the site
Who payed for the massive amount of advertising this site gets? What is its purpose?
I'm genuinely baffled. The best guess I have right now is that it somehow tracks you, or that its some kind of mk ultra psyop.

I remember poking around with this a few years ago. Can't remember what came of it but I would guess it's a kind of art installation. Maybe an ARG that failed to launch.

Just beat it, the game sucks. Hopefully the Illuminati farmed my info tho and will be calling me soon to join.

if that's the case why is it still being so heavily advertised?

Don't know. You can go to the page and inspect element, consult the way back machine on the URL's previous owner, maybe look up what asteroids could represent. There are ways to do recon on something like this if you care to.

Theory: this minigame thing is temporary content and it's going to be replaced with something else when the owner thinks its gotten enough reach, which would explain why there is an 18+ disclaimer even though there's no 18+ content.

How old is the site? Wouldn't be able to tell when it goes live from that but it would at least put it in context/perspective. If it's been up for 10 years or something I wouldn't hold my breath for it.

The earliest archive.org snapshot is from May 28, 2024 when the header was labelled "Bigsport." Then the site was completely blank. I'm guessing around this time it was bought, because a few months later in September the header was removed and the first version of the game was put on which is almost identical to the current, and then a month later in November the modern version.
It seems like an advertising agency named "Clickadu" is behind the website, which just makes me even more confused to be honest.
But now I'm really suspecting the placeholder theory since the game is only a year old.

There was also a massive spike in snapshots from the past few months (multiple saves per day), so I'm guessing that's around when they upped their advertising and starting getting more hits.

Clickadu looks like some platform that middle mans for people's ad campaigns. Since whoever is behind the website uses them as a proxy/platform you'd need to use some form of social engineering and/or fake credentials and get the information from Clickadu.

There was a massive data leak recently that would put you in the window for when the guy used Clickadu to make his campaign. So if you were able to get a hold of that part of the leak you could cross reference anything you find through other methods against that data.
